Sephora Canada return policy is 30 days, is US about to change too?

Please, does anyone know if the US return policy is changing from 60days to 30 days? I included 2 pics, one from the US and one from Canada. Edit: apparently Sephora Canada has had a 30 day return policy since December 2018 or earlier, now I don’t believe that the US is changing their policy “very soon” as the person who posted in a makeup group made me believe/fear.

I don’t have a problem accepting the new return policy. As long as I can get a sample, read the ingredient list and/or AUTHENTIC REVIEWS (my wallet says THANK YOU TO ALL who are honest and spend the time to keep it real and not feel peer pressured to sugarcoat the truth!). I am strangely fortunate my skin knows within a week if it likes it or hates it.  I just hate having even more choices taken away out of the blue. It’s always nice to have options even if you don’t use them. I’m concerned what more negatives could be coming in the future in terms of the standards being set. I also wonder how shipping is going to work and when exactly the clock starts because shipping delays could be up to 2 weeks even with your card already charged. Also for those who are super busy whether being a Mom +/- career or simply have demanding careers such that often times, 30 days isn’t enough time due to your schedule if you’re on a business trip or immersed in project deadlines so stuff is just sitting around until you have more time to get to it, I truly feel for you if this could be a concern for you ❤️

PSA Sephora US did just change their return policy to just 30 days. I miss loving Sephora. This company is just piling on reasons to take my business elsewhere.

I for one, am happy about the new restrictive return policies. In the US YouTube content providers often buy products just to do videos then return them. This makes me angry, they actually used the products for a commercial purpose then created waste that goes into our landfills. 

Since Sephora allows us to test out products in store, and provides free samples so that people can make an informed purchase I don’t believe used products should be returned. Macy’s no longer allows it, I’ll be glad when Sephora follows suit.

Hi @RebeccaDarling! Yes, I don't believe the US return policy is changing any time soon.  The Sephora Canada 30 day return policy has been in effect for a couple years now.  I hope this helps!

I feel that people have been rather spoiled by overly lenient return policies.  30 days is more than enough time to gauge whether or not the product is working for you.  If you don't get to using it in time, then perhaps don't buy it?  Wait until you actually need it or are going to use it.  Europe (and I'm sure other places as well) doesn't even accept beauty returns!! So I feel that us in North America are beyond lucky.

Oh no! I already think the current policy is quite restrictive. Sometimes I don't get around to trying items out until past the return date. 😞

I guess you either need to buy when you are ready or take your chances of not liking something.  Even when I buy to restock and won't be using for over 30 days, I still check the product when I receive it to make sure it's in good condition.

I have never needed to return something after the 30 days point--unless it was an electronic that failed still within the warranty period.
