vitamin c

I have super sensitive skin and combination oily skin. I am looking for a vitamin c serum or treatment that actually works and provides results while not irritating my super super sensitive skin. Also I don't want it to make my skin super oily either.

RE: vitamin c

The Sephora C&E Ultra Glow Serum is pretty nice, and itโ€™s only $20. I have reactive skin and it works for me. Like AsheBrooke said, make sure to wear sunscreen if you apply vitamin C in the daytime!  is one study showing the effectiveness of vitamin C is increased with the addition of a broad spectrum sunscreen (like creamcrow pointed out, this is an animal study).

RE: vitamin c

I have the same plus, as a brown girl, I get real dark marks. I use Klairs vitamin C serum oil for my skin. It doesnโ€™t make me too oily, I also suggest using a sunscreen over it to make sure any marks donโ€™t darken on your skin. Good Luck!

RE: vitamin c

Ole Henriksen has a serum in an orange bottle, ive been using it for the past 3 years. It really is amazing. Get yourself a sample and i honestly think that youll notice a difference after like 2-3 uses.

Re: vitamin c

@Kaitlyn1515 I recently got into Vit C.  I've tried a couple products.  I'm really liking the OH Truth Serum.  Been using it for a week and a half or so, and feel like my skin looks a bit clearer and brighter.  Very small differences though.  It hasn't been long enough for me to fully review it.  I wanted to let you know that this product has fragrance in it.  I adore it, it's a burst of fresh orange.  If you're super sensitive, that could really be an issue for you.  Go for a sample.

vitamin c

It's Best to intake vitamin c through the diet. If a person is getting their daily recommended dose of vitamin c that's all they need. If it is applied to the skin and there's already enough in the system the body can't take in anymore. If you're not getting enough vitamin c in your diet then your body can take it up through the skin. However keep in mind there's never been any human studies on the efficacy of vitamin c. There's only been animal studies. With this in mind I like Dermalogica's brightening serum.

Re: vitamin c

I am sensitive to using it everyday.  Some people are.  Ordinary has a The Ordinary Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12%

And it may be less bothersome to the skin. Might want to start there. ๐Ÿ˜Š @Kaitlyn1515
