tower 28 SOS spray

does the tower 28 SOS spray live to up to the hype?? I have dry skin and don’t have many breakouts!

Re: tower 28 SOS spray

@avasdiaryy  It depends on what you want that spray to do for your skin. Hypochlorus acid (the star ingredient in Tower 28 Beauty SOS Daily Hypochlorous Acid Spray for Breakouts & Redness 4 oz/ 120 mL) is antibacterial, antiviral, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory. It's good for treating several skin conditions, caring for wounds, and skin sanitizing. I use it reduce surface redness, treat/prevent occasional acne, sanitize my hands, and—most importantly for me—reduce/prevent yeast overgrowth (pityrosporum folliculitis) so I don't end up with itchy bumps and patches all over my neck and around my nose.

You can certainly buy Tower 28's spray and try it out. I've never used it but I'm sure the pump produces a nice fine mist. I'll tell you a secret though: there are other hypochlorus acid sprays on the market that cost quite a bit less than Tower 28's and contain nearly the same ingredients. The INCI differences are usually just the form(s) of salt used. Ask your primary care doctor or dermatologist (if you have one) for product recommendations, or maybe ask a pharmacist.

I personally use SkinSmart Antimicrobial Wound Therapy spray; I buy it from Amazon, but it's probably also available elsewhere. SkinSmart sells several hypochlorus acid sprays that are all the exact same product, just labeled/marketed differently and sometimes in different shaped bottles with different types of pumps. None of the SkinSmart pumps product a fine mist, so keep that in mind if it's important to you.

@WinglessOne I just knew you'd have good insight on this product!

Re: tower 28 SOS spray

@avasdiaryy Absolutely 💯! I’m going through yet another flare up of eczema and it calms right down. Tower 28 Beauty SOS Intensive Redness Relief Serum with Hypochlorous Acid 2 oz / 59 mL is good too though I find the spray to be more fast acting. I can’t wait to try Tower 28 Beauty SOS Daily Skin Barrier Redness Recovery Moisturizer 1.86 oz / 55 ml when it comes out.

Re: tower 28 SOS spray

So I realized the spray is great for really bad flare ups where even touching my skin would irritate it. I had a really bad flare up even lying in bed set off parts of my skin. The spray was perfect for that. The serum is effective too and better suited for situations where my skin isn’t completely irritated. Just waiting on the moisturizer to arrive on Monday.

Re: tower 28 SOS spray

It works for me!

My skin after using it feels so fresh

Re: tower 28 SOS spray

I love the spray for my very dry and irritation prone skin - it helped calm my skin that extra bit when I was suffering from a topical allergy that took a while for me to realize was something I need to get diagnosed. Now I am luckily not applying things I am allergic to onto my face daily, but it is also really good on days my skin around my eyes feels a bit irritated, as anything from bad sleep to not eating so well impacts my skin immediately. It also helps skin irritation bumps that do begin forming to actually not be a full breakout and get subdued before it gets bad enough to leave a bit of PIH.

The best part about this is you can use it at any point in the day as much as you need as it doesn't affect makeup at all either.
Tower 28 Beauty SOS Daily Skin Barrier Redness Recovery Moisturizer 1.86 oz / 55 ml just launched today if you want to explore even more options in the SOS line.

Re: tower 28 SOS spray

YES @avasdiaryy I love the spray and currently eyeing the serum to try. Little goes a long way IMO, I use it after I get microderm or a light sunburn and the next day, I feel right back to normal with no tightening or tingling!

Re: tower 28 SOS spray

@jaaayp I’ve tried it and it’s good too. I find the spray is better at acute irritation and calms down fast but the serum sinks into the skin better instead of evaporating off. They also have Tower 28 Beauty SOS Daily Skin Barrier Redness Recovery Moisturizer 1.86 oz / 55 ml coming soon, which I’m definitely going to try.
