Juice beauty is an excellent skin care line, they have it at Ulta, they have everything you need even treatments like brightening peels for pregnancy. I have a milk cleanser from them I use from time time, they have lots of amazing products I would definitely check it out.

RE: pregnancy safe skin care

I would start out by asking your pregnancy care provider which ingredients you should avoid in skincare. When I was pregnant I personally wanted to steer clear of anything too powerful and kept it simple with a cleanse and moisturizer. The Dr. Jart micro foam cleanser and the water drop moisturizer have ingredients that I feel safe with, but again, always check to make sure it’s right for you. Hope this helps and congratulations on your pregnancy, it’s such an exciting journey!

Re: RE: pregnancy safe skin care

I have been trying to find a pregnancy "safe" moisturizer and was hoping Dr. Jart's Water Drop would be the one. I found the DMDM hydantoin in Dr. Jart's Water Drop moisturizer to be a little concerning because of what COSDNA says about the ingredient:

"DMDM hydantoin is an antimicrobial agent and preservative. It increases the shelf-life of cosmetics (e.g. shampoos, skincare products, hair gels, etc) by "releasing" formaldehyde and thus killing bacteria. This keeps cosmetics sanitary, and prevents illness due to infections.

The Environmental Working Group (EWG) lists the hazard level of DMDM hydantoin at moderate/high. It is not known to cause developmental and reproductive toxicity, and has a low risk of being a carcinogen. The chemical may be a problem in people who are allergic to formaldehyde, and can increase the risk of developing a formaldehyde allergy. The most common type of allergy is a skin allergy."

Agreed that asking your doctor is the best thing to do - the drunk elephant website lists that every item they sell (except the babyface facial ironically) is safe for pregnancy so you may want to check them out as well!
