What’s Going In Your Skincare Fridge?

This is my sisters skincare fridge I thought it might be fun to share what would go in your dream skincare fridge or what do you have currently?!

@peculiarzmakeup  I’ve never had a skincare fridge, but I do usually keep a few skincare/bodycare things in my regular kitchen fridge: 

• Sheet masks - not all my masks, just 4-5 at a time. That way, I have some cold masks ready when they’re needed. (My skin’s quite reactive/inflammation-prone, and cold compresses are a way of life for me.) Usually either a few of my all-time fave sheet mask (Abib Mild Acidic pH Heartleaf Fit) or a resealable pouch of LuLuLun masks (I love their Travel series masks, especially the watermelon, peach, and green tea varieties). 
• Eye patches/masks - one jar each of Good Molecules Caffeine Energizing Hydrogel Eye Patches and JayJun Green Tea Eye Gel Patch; those are my favorite eye masks. I don’t always use ‘em cold, but they’re great from the fridge on extra puffy undereye mornings. I also keep my reusable SiO eye patches in the fridge, plus a SiO reusable brow patch that helps relieve my headaches and overheating. 
• Knee wrap - I have three different wraps and always keep one of them (a 360º cooling wrap) in the freezer, along with its gel packs. 
• Face roller - specifically, the SEPHORA COLLECTION Rose Quartz Facial Roller I got as a gift from Sephora a few years ago. When I’m overheated by hot weather or hot flashes, or when I need to relieve a tension headache, that cold roller’s sooo nice on my temples and behind my ears. 
• Facial oils - I don’t always keep these refrigerated, but it does help keep ‘em from going rancid—though it won’t keep ‘em good forever. I use The Ordinary 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil 1 oz/ 30 mL on my hands and nails year round, and during winter I also sometimes use it on my face. I also use a couple other oils on my hands/nails all year. If I think I won’t use up a bottle of oil within 6 months, I’ll park it in the fridge to hopefully extend its lifetime. 

All my other skincare products live in my bathroom, either on a carousel beside my sink or a cabinet (where I currently store a bunch of sheet masks and other things). None of my other stuff needs refrigeration. 

I avoid water-based skincare products that don’t contain good preservatives. But if I did use lots of “all natural” water-based products, I’d keep ‘em in the fridge since they tend to slack on preservatives.

Thank you for sharing this @WinglessOne  I love the idea of rollers in the fridge, and definatley ice packs! Sheet masks too, I have personally never had a fridge but those are such incredible and thoughtful uses of one 🙂 I think it’s interesting to see everyone’s unique ways of organizing and it’s so inspiring ❤️

There's something wonderful about the feeling of a cool roller on the skin. @WinglessOne  I used to keep mine in the fridge and after reading this there's a few things I'd want to try cool as well, plus putting my roller back in the fridge. 😅 I don't know why I fell out of that habit.  I have a few eye patches and that sounds really nice too. 👌

@peculiarzmakeup, I no longer have/use a skincare fridge, but when I did, I would primarily keep my toners and essences in there, and in the warmer seasons, face mists and sheet masks.

I didn’t realize till just know that it actually works I thought it was a little shelf haha 😂 those are great items to keep in, i feel like they a serum or sheet mask would be rather refreshing in a fridge ❤️ @itsfi

I used to have one and I had sheet masks in it, @peculiarzmakeup, but I don’t use sheet masks so much anymore because they’re time consuming, so I don’t really use the mini fridge anymore. I have it in the basement so my kids can put sodas in it if they want to.

@curlychiquita I decluttered my skincare fridge. It didn’t get the love I thought I’d give it.  I figured out I’d rather have a mask warmed than cooled.  We tried keeping it in the car for a while for snacks but it eventually got kicked out of the car too.

Oooh I love a good "my dream" question. My dream fridge would be filled with August Bader @peculiarzmakeup 😍

I’ve never heard of August Bader but in about two minutes I will have researched the line haha 🤣 I found this esthetician online and she makes cleansing balm that seems like a dreamsicle so I would have that and basically everything Tatcha

I just looked it up I’ve seen that gorgeous blue bottle before I was reading he is a doctor of something I love the stories behind products and the individuals that start brands! And definitely 🩷 @CynthieLu
