What is Cruelty-free to you?

Hello fellow Beauty Lovers!

I wanted to pose a question and get genuine feedback. What makes a brand "cruelty-free to you? I've been doing some research and I've come up with 3 categories of cruelty-free

1. Cruelty-free but Tests on animals when required by law

2. Cruelty-free but is owned by a company who isn't cruelty-free

3. 100% cruelty-free (neither brand nor parent company tests on animals)

What category do you consider to be cruelty-free?

Please remember to be kind. This is not a thred to debate, it's more like a poll thred.

Thank you! And message me if you do want more information about "cruelty-free" companies. I've done a lot of research and have a blog post with all of it.

Re: What is Cruelty-free to you?

@BriRaeReviews  I personally would consider 2 and 3 to be cruelty-free, but not 1. In my opinion, if the brand's products, ingredients or their suppliers test on animals at any point, even if it is "required by law" they should not be considered cruelty-free. That is just my own take, I know different folks have different thresholds for what counts as cruelty-free or not. Great question! 💜
