VINTNER’S DAUGHTER

Has anyone tried this oil? I’m about to hit “confirm purchase” But before I do, I wanted to know if anyone has tried it and what your experience is like! Every review I’ve read sounds amazing. I already use everything Sunday Riley but think this could give me some added benefits and become another (ridiculously expensive 😩) Holy Grail!

RE: VINTNER’S DAUGHTER

Here’s my update: I’ve been using it daily for almost 3 weeks, during the day in place of moisturizer. My morning routine now consists of: Clarisonic and PTR anti-aging Cleanser or AP enzyme treatment. AP Vintage Essence. Vintner’s Daughter oil. Ole Henriksen Banana Eye. It has been the most simple, effective routine I’ve used and my skin is now officially regular, not oily. My face is covered in freckles and I spent most of my life hiding them. Now, at 37, I embrace them and show them off! I still use Fenty but only one pump for my whole face. I just like to add color and let my skin show through. Vintner’s Daughter has plumped and reversed the sun damage that was done in my 20s. I’m truly happy with it and will continue to purchase it!

Re: VINTNER’S DAUGHTER

I purchased a sample of it a while ago - probably a year or two now? I spent 3 weeks using it up and afterwards had a pretty solid "meh" moment, so purchasing the full size was an easy pass for me.

Let us know how you like it though!

Re: VINTNER’S DAUGHTER

I regret purchasing it, I have sensitive skin that got completely overwhelmed by all the oils in it.  My skin ended up looking far worse.  I would seriously recommend you try a sample before spending your money.

I should mention that I get along with other oils and balms.   My recent favorite discovery is the May Lindstrom Youth Dew.  A more affordable favorite is SR Juno.

Re: VINTNER’S DAUGHTER

@MiaM7 Thank you for letting me know! I did already purchase it and I don’t have sensitive skin at all. I’m hoping it will work well as my daytime oil and skip moisturizer all together.

Re: VINTNER’S DAUGHTER

@darlyndar I know there are a couple of BIC ladies that swear by Vitner's Daughters, I can't recall who exactly, but these two threads are gold mines for info 🙂

Re: VINTNER’S DAUGHTER

I think I'm going to pay for the sample first. I just don't know where it would fit in my routine as I LOVE my Luna Oil.

Re: VINTNER’S DAUGHTER

@trojanchick99 Me too! I plan to use it as a daytime oil. I may not even need my AP moisture bound anymore!

Re: VINTNER’S DAUGHTER

@trojanchick99 you can pay for a sample?? where?!

Re: VINTNER’S DAUGHTER

@Kim888 On the website! You can buy a sample pack for $35!

Re: VINTNER’S DAUGHTER

@darlyndar @trojanchick99 Thank! I've always looked at it on beautylish so I didn't realize. It's still nice to be able to try it even if its like a $40 sample haha

Re: VINTNER’S DAUGHTER

On the Vinter's Daughter website. It's a stupidly expensive sample, like $37 I think, but still much less than the cost of a full bottle.

Re: VINTNER’S DAUGHTER

@darlyndar I think you'll like it.  Hope this doesn't sound too creepy but I've read some of your posts in the forum and it sounds like you have combo/oily skin and like Sunday Riley's facial oils-- I think you probably have the right skin type that it can do wonders for.  I had read a ton about it too and bit the bullet a few months back, and used the entire bottle, waiting for the glow that people talk about... but it totally did not work for me.  I was really frustrated until I read this on Into the Gloss (my favorite beauty blog if you're not already into it!):  https://intothegloss.com/2017/06/editor-favorite-products-2017/  That made it click for me that most of the great reviews I'd read were by people with combination and/or oily skin.  I on the other hand have dry/normal skin and so I wasn't seeing much in the way of results.  But I think on the right skin type, it is supposedly a real miracle product!  I hope it works for you 🙂

Re: VINTNER’S DAUGHTER

@Lotus15 That’s not creepy. It’s why we’re all here. 😊 I do have straight oily skin. There are no dry patches on this face. Lol. I’ve been using Luna and almost all of Sunday Riley’s products for a few years. That’s unfortunate that it didn’t work for you. I’ve heard it works really well for dry skin and hydrates in the most beautiful way. I’m looking to incorporate it during the day. I let me skincare sink into my skin for a good 30 minutes before I apply my makeup so I’m hoping with this and Luna, Good Genes and AP Vintage Essence, I’ll have skin that looks and feels better than my 4 year old. Here’s to wishful thinking! And thanks for the blog recommendation. I’ll definitely read it.

Re: VINTNER’S DAUGHTER

@darlyndar I was just reading through your post and was gonna recommend Amorepacific Vintage Essence since we seem to have similar skin types and budget (lol) for skincare but I see you're way ahead of me!! Gosh I just love that toner so much it completely transformed my skin, made it so smooth and hydrated and ny occasional breakouts heal SO FAST! I just wanted to suggest maybe trying the Secret Key Rose first treatment essence as an exfoliator instead of Good Genes as I've been a loyal user of Good Genes for a long time until recently I discovered exfoliating gentle toners and I'm a compete convert! The cons I had against GG despite the great results were the smell, stickiness and the price and I find that Korean First treatment essences completely solved that for me.

Re: VINTNER’S DAUGHTER

@AzaleeG I can’t get enough of the Vintage Essence! I feel like I’ve spent soooo much money trying out skincare that would work for me. When I discovered Sunday Riley a few years ago, it was the answer to my prayers! I’ve been loyal to her since then. Korean skincare has definitely made its mark and I’m starting to love it more and more! I’ll definitely look into your suggestions and read up on it. I don’t think I can ever stop using SR because it truly does work for me. But I’m not opposed to adding things to my routine! Im hoping to add Vintner’s daughter to my daytime routine. I don’t have that as solid as I would like it to be!

Re: VINTNER’S DAUGHTER

Ha, love that!  We can all dream!  It's funny how differently people's skin can react.  I wanted to love Sunday Riley so badly (love the concept, the packaging... so luxurious), but the Luna/Good Genes combo didn't work for me either.  I'm jealous of people who use it with such success!

Re: VINTNER’S DAUGHTER

@darlyndar I haven't but if you get it can you come back to this thread and review it haha! Stephanie nicole always talks about it which is how I heard about it and it sounds amazing but so so pricey!

Re: VINTNER’S DAUGHTER

@Kim888 I hit that darn button! Lol. Stephanie Nicole sold me on it a while ago but I’ve been hesitant because of the price. I’m justifying it because I’m turning 37 in 10 days! It’s my birthday present to myself. I will definitely give an update once I get it! I’m ridiculously excited! 🖤

Re: VINTNER’S DAUGHTER

I love stephanie Nicole!! I wanted to try it, too but became obsessed with the caudalie line and am using their skincare products.

Re: VINTNER’S DAUGHTER

@loveyall I’ve been eyeing that oil as well. How do you like it?
