Tatcha Water Cream vs. Sunday Riley Tidal?

I'm looking to buy a water cream and have narrowed it down to these two. I have tried Tatcha's water cream and I liked it but I'm worried about the amount of silicones used in that one and the long term effects on my skin. Tidal has silicone in it as well but it doesn't seem to have as many in their ingredients list. I have sensitive fair acne prone skin. Which of the two would be best in your own opinions?

Re: Tatcha Water Cream vs. Sunday Riley Tidal?

I have both and like them both.  My skin is pretty sensitive and I haven't had any problems with Tidal, but I can see how someone potentially could - not really sure how to describe it, but it tingles a little bit when I first apply it but after about a minute it just feels really refreshing. Sort of like Noxzema, if you've ever used that.  Tidal is more of a gel and thicker than Water Cream.  Actually I'm kind of confused as to why they call Tidal a water cream because it feels just like other gel moisturizers I've used and personally it feels completely different on my skin than Water Cream does.

I really like Tidal in the winter (it's thick enough but not so thick that it never completely absorbs/leaves a film on my face, like Drunk Elephant Lala cream does) and have been using mainly Water Cream during the summer.  I think I prefer Tidal and doubt I will repurchase Water Cream - I've noticed better redness reducing with Tidal, and it makes my skin look plumper, softer, and healthier than Water Cream does.

Thanks! I'm definitely going to try and get a sample of Tidal to try out. I decided to purchase the water cream this time around because I know how my skin reacts to it. Definitely going to purchase Farmacy's Honey drop again as well because that cream is really great and doesn't break me out either.

@Mimette I highly recommend getting samples of these in some way--I say this because in-store skincare samples might not be the most sanitary..

I have acne prone skin and my skin had no reactions with Tatcha's Water Cream. I did find the formula to be meh though.

However, every time I've tried Sunday Riley's Tidal, my skin had adverse reactions, such as mild burning and break outs.

I had a deluxe sample of Tatcha water cream and it lasted me around a week and a half. I liked the feeling of it and it helped with redness.. I just get freaked out about dimethicone. I'm pretty sure Tidal has fruit enzymes in it which do worry me because they can be irritating to sensitive skin. I know it's different for everyone but I see so many rave reviews on both creams. I may just go with Tatcha for now and then try and get a sample of Tidal another day.
