Tatcha Essence - what do you think?

I just got the $100 reward and I was thinking I’d splurge on the Tatcha Essence. What are your thoughts on it? Do you love it? And how long does it last? I use mostly Tatcha, Drunk Elephant and Skinceuticals

I went a little tatcha-crazy and splurged on the essence back in the November sale.  Since I ran out of it, I replaced it with the neogen micro essence ferment, and I'm definitely going to be using an essence for life now..

the tatcha essence is really nice.  You know I'll go ahead and post one of the dozens of selfie snaps I sent my sister to admire my skin :). 

Out of the five essences I've used (neogen, saturday skin, missha, pyunkang yul) I do have to say that tatcha was the best. It's not even that it felt so great going on, it's just that my skin really was plumped out and even.  But it's not like it was ten times better.  I didn't buy it again, though.  A hundred dollars for three months, when I can get almost the same for $30-40, just didn't feel worth it to me. So long story short, yes it's great, but know that there are other essences out there.

I love the Tatcha essence. I feel like it helps hydrate my skin and helps the products I use after absorb well. I have only used the smaller size from the starter kits, but they definitely seem to last quite a while. I rate the essence very highly!

@StephMichelle13 I love the Tatcha essence and the SKII one.  It depends how often you are going to use it.  I use mine morning and night and it lasts me a couple of months.

I actually just purchased this during the spring bonus sale and have been using it daily for about 2 weeks now. Before I purchased this, I got a sample in store and at first assumed it would do nothing as it felt completely like water (a little thicker but honestly, looked like water to me).  I use almost all product from the Tatcha line and kept reading about how the essence works really well with their Vitamin C serum that I had purchased and been using prior.  The sample shockingly lasted me for a couple of days and I hated to admit that this fancy water actually did help the product sink into my skin.  Since I did purchase this item, I actually love how the bottle holds the product (it has some type of rubber dispenser so you don't feel like you're losing a lot of product).  I use this at night before my serum and moisturizer and I am waking up with better skin! This was the only new thing added to my skincare recently. I have tried the SK-II Essence and though it's loved by many, it actually didn't do anything to my skin (no noticeable effect but didn't worsen my skin) so I am surprised on how much I love Tatcha's Essence.  I plan to repurchase and would recommend it! I have no way of sharing how long this bottle will last (it's a really big bottle) but you don't need much to cover your face, at all- so I am imagining that you'll get your money's worth (or the reward's worth at least 😄 )

I also use Drunk Elephant products as well/have sensitive skin/acne prone skin.

Thank you for your response! I don’t use the Tatcha vitamin C because I use the drunk elephant one, but I’m going to give this essence a try! 🙂
