Sunscreen pilling; need advice!!

Hey everyone, I’m having a difficult time adding sunscreen to my skincare routine because it causes pilling and dry skin on my face. I’ve tried rubbing it in and gently pressing it into my face and regardless of the application I get the same results.

I’m not sure if I’m using products that clash with each-other or if I’m just not using the correct sunscreen for my skin type (not sure if that’s a thing or not) but I’d love your suggestions, tips and tricks.

My current skincare routine in order is:

• The Ordinary Mandelic Acid 10% + HA 1 oz/ 30 mL  (night only + waiting 20 minutes before applying next product
• The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Hydrating Serum 
• The Ordinary Pycnogenol 5% 0.5 oz/ 15 mL  (waiting 5 minutes before next product)
• Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask 5oz/ 142g 
• Shiseido Urban Environment Oil-Free UV Protector Broad Spectrum Face Sunscreen SPF 42

@Aliciacrough I think the issue is what you're using underneath. With your list, it looks like you're applying sunscreen on top of the jet lag mask? I would suggest only using the mask at night, as a sleeping mask. Use a light moisturizer during the day. I usually wait about 5 minutes after applying moisturizer to apply sunscreen and haven't had issues with pilling (including with that Shiseido).
