Suggestions on a cleanser!

I need a new cleanser! My skin is sensitive and I break out super easy. Any suggestions? Thank you:)

Re: Suggestions on a cleanser!

cerave foaming facial cleanser is affordable and works wonderfully. It’s alcohol free and has   niacinamide Which helps with moisture

RE: Suggestions on a cleanser!

I would suggest Dermalogica’s Ultracalming cleanser. With ingredients like lavender, bisabolol, red hogweed, and ginger, it will help reduce redness and irritation. The cleanser is also very versatile, you can travel with it and you can simply remove it with just tissue if you don’t have access to water. If you do have really sensitive skin, it’s best if you get a skin analysis done so the proper product can be prescribed to you! Good luck! -Carrie, Dermalogica certified Expert

Re: Suggestions on a cleanser!

Hada Labo Foaming Face wash, Cerave Hydrating Cleanser, La Roche Posay Toleriane hydrating gentle facial cleanser, Cosrx Low pH Good Morning Gel cleanser, Vanicream cleanser, Clinique

First Aid Beauty Pure Skin Face Cleanser – Gentle Hydrating Cleanser 5 oz/ 150 mL

are some pH-balanced (helps keep skin near the optimum pH of 5.5), fragrance-free, and essential oil-free cleansers. Fragrance and essential oils are common skin irritants so it would be best to avoid those ingredients.

These cleansers have an essential oil in their ingredient lists but are also popular amongst those with sensitive skin:

BOSCIA - Detoxifying Black Charcoal Cleanser

FRESH - Soy Face Cleanser- helps remove makeup

Many of these cleansers, however, are not meant to remove makeup/sunscreen well and are more suited as 2nd-step cleansers. A two-step cleansing routing works for all skin types and consists of a

1. cleansing oil/balm

2. cleanser.

Cleansing oils first help gently loosen makeup, sunscreen, and other oil-based products on your skin (and yes, it's good for those with oily skin too!). Some good fragrance-free and essential oil-free cleansing oils include Hada Labo Cleansing Oil and Kose Softymo Speedy, and a good cleansing balm is

CLINIQUE Take The Day Off™ Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm 3.8 oz/ 125 mL

Then, a 2nd-step cleanser helps wash it all away without stripping moisture from your skin.

Hi @Brettany,

I suggest the OLEHENRIKSEN - The Clean Truth™ Foaming Cleanseror the PHILOSOPHY - Purity Made Simple Cleanser. Both are great cleansers for sensitive skin that deeply cleanse without overdrying the skin. Hope this helps!

Best,

Rebecca
