Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum cream changed formula?

Did anyone notice that the Sol de Janeiro - Brazilian Bum Bum Cream changed in consistency/formula? I just finished using an old one which is a thick body butter like consistency and is well packed into the jar. I just opened a new one that I just bought over the fall sale and it's a cream now... It's not thick like it used to be. I want to stock up with the recent discount code but isn't sure if I like the consistency of the current cream.

The formula has certainly changed. The biggest difference I noticed is that the glow from the regular size container has decreased SIGNIFICANTLY. The glow in this cream was one of my favorite aspects of it, but now there’s little to no flecks of glitter in the “new” formula. I’m quite sad about this. Try to compare under the sun or flash.

My current mini jar is not thick but my Biggie Biggie Bum Bum is thicker

This is good to know because I was confused when I opened my Bum Bum Cream. I have never used it before, but from what I heard, I was expecting a thick body butter with a stiff consistency. This current creamier consistency reminds me of the Soap and Glory Smoothie Star Buttercream. But, I love the Bum Bum Cream scent, so I will continue using it as my daytime moisturizer. Now, I don't feel so bad about going through my mini so quickly!

@Noosiekins Mine has more of a whipped formula. It’s weird...but the smell is the exact same. I have a backup too. 

So: Top left is my current tub. It’s very stiff in consistency. Top right is my backup. Same whipped texture. Bottom left is a deluxe sample. That’s the one with the thick, creamy consistency that I’m used to. Bottom right is one I received in a Play! Box. That has a thin but creamy consistency. I’m thinking it’s the factory and how long they’re mixing. I do miss the original texture. Now that I think of it, it sinks into my skin immediately and I always have to go in for more. Before, a dollop would travel forever.

@lmaster I know! The thickness is why I love the product. I was going to buy their jumbo tub but now questioning if I should...

I didn't realize there had been a formula change. It's interesting because my most recent tub is  thicker than normal haha and it's been really nice.

The formula is different, I just compared the two ingredient list and they aren’t identical. That may be the reason why you’re seeing inconsistencies within the two products.

Hum @jaddee, the two I have has the same ingredients list, just different font and text size...
