Skincare routine: dark spots/hyperpigmentation

Hi guys. So happy I stumbled upon this community! I have been searching for a new skincare routine since August. I have been struggling with hyperpigmention since forever and have been searching for the right products. Then, I got the chickenpox in July and have so many dark spots that it's crazy. I have been looking into Kiehls products and Origins but I really don't know which would be best.

Help needed! Other recommendations also..

Re: Skincare routine: dark spots/hyperpigmentation

Yes to Vitamin C and sunscreen, but also include another Acid to your evening routine. In the Am, you can do vit c, moisturizer/sunscreen. In the evening, you can do a Lactic or glycolic chemical exfoliator, and a nice oil to protect. Once a week, you may want to try a stronger acidic treatment. Drunk elephant has Baby facial which is a strong aha/bha peel. The Ordinary makes a similar product as well.

Like the previous poster suggested, sunscreen is a must. To help with pigmentation issues, you really want to look at adding in a vitamin C serum to your skincare routine. The right serum will help to lighten the spots and brighten your complexion over time.

I micro needle my skin and then apply TruSkin naturals Vitamin C Serum, then a thick moisturizer and finally Mario Badescu Rose Water spray. I also use the indian healing clay mixed with bragg's apple cider vinegar after I steam my face some nights. I also apply tea tree oil to blemishes and hyper pigmentation, it really helps dry out pimples or scabs on my face and evens out my skintone. Hope this helps!

The most important thing is to use a good sunscreen every day! For my hyperpigmentation I use Good Genes in the morning and the Korres Wild Rose Sleeping Facial at night. Once I add the Korres night cream is when I really noticed my pigmentation lightening.
