Feel free to join in whenever and wherever. Share your thoughts and observations on a mask you have tried, we need all the details, please! Most importantly - have fun!
| January | Fresh Starts - Time for a re-set, or morning masking? However you see it, this month is all about new beginnings. |
| February | Winter Love - Whether it's a mask you adore, or something extra-special to care for dry winter skin, this month is for some soothing TLC. |
| March | March Madness - Competition is in the air! Find a $ dupe of a $$$ mask that is share-worthy? Or find a dupe that works even better than the original? Details, please! |
| April | Spring Fling - Baskets and bouquets, showers of much-anticipated rain...this month's focus is herbal and floral sensory delights. |
| May | Dew Drops - May Day lore says to wash your face in the dew you collect in the morning of the first day of May for radiant skin. This month is for absorbing all of that good-for-you H2O. |
| June | Summer Sunshine - Ice cream, sunglasses, SPF, check! Once the sun is down (or before it's up), extra care is most necessary. How do you give your skin cooling repair? |

April 2024 Masks
* amika Nourishing Mask - my hair feels soft, smooth, and well hydrated and moisturized every time I use this. Never heavy or weighed down.
* Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask (old packaging) is a wonderfully gentle and effective mask for decongesting pores and helping to shrink and calm breakouts. I generally reach for this at least once per month, sometimes more. As the weather warms, this becomes more of a staple in my skincare routine, with use ranging from 1-3 times per week.
Oribe Hair Alchemy Strengthening Mask 5 oz / 150 mL
Farmacy Honey Potion Plus Ceramide Hydration Mask
Tatcha The Clarifying Clay Mask Exfoliating Pore Treatment 1.7 oz/ 50 mL
Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare DermInfusionsโข Lift + Repair Eye Mask
amika Soulfood Nourishing Hair Mask
innisfree Super Volcanic AHA Pore Clearing Clay Mask 3.38 oz / 100 ml
@itsfi So many good ones here! That Farmacy mask is seriously the best! I love it especially in the colder months!
The Cica Crรจme Shop mask is probably my most favorite from the brand! I always pick up a pack when I see them at Marshall's/TJM ๐
๐ฏ @Shosh85 about the Cica Mend being a fave among TCS masks. I wish they didnโt discontinue those oversized maskerade eye masks. When it comes to a Cica sheet mask, Iโm mainly using a VT multipack, but if the single use sheets, I like this one, as well as one from JMSolutions & the #Dr. Jart+ Cicapair โข Sensitive Skin Serum Face Mask for Redness 1 Mask / pack.
@itsfi Yes! Absolutely love the Dr. Jart one! I've been having some good luck finding them at Marshall's lately too! ๐
@lmaster Glad these turned out nice for you! I would've definitely bought that mask just for the cute cactus! ๐ต ๐
Not floral or spring-y but still amazing!!
Seems like this one is discontinued??
Shocker.... Because it's the BEST bio cellulose mask I've ever used ๐
This mask was actually drenched in serum, it looked like a hybrid between a cream and serum.
So it wasn't as thick as a cream, but it was milky in color, with a thinner consistency.
Second skin fits this mask, it adhered to my face like a suction ๐คฃ there was no moving around at all.
I loved it and wore it for 20 minutes
After removing, my skin absorbed the serum without feeling dry, it was lightly moisturized and my skin felt so good!!
โ
Yes it was @itsfi and of course I looked for it online and guess what ... Sold out.... In other words... discontinued??
March 2024
Allergies and a couple instances of irritated skin meant a low-key masking month in March.
Innisfree clay mask is a tried-and-true mask for clearing / detoxifying. The clay mask is gentle and effective - working to decongest my skin of impurities and helping to reduce the size of those pesky pimples that surface every now and again. Innisfree has since repackaged their products, but the mask in the new packaging is generally the same as this previous version.
K18 hair mask has quickly become a favorite for hair care. The combo of the peptide prep shampoo and leave on conditioner has especially been a hit. I was first introduced to these beauties in a gratis package but have since purchased full sizes of both products - for myself and as gifts. The mask is quick and easy - apply to hair after shampoo and give it 4 minutes to activate itself and DONE! Hair is soft and smooth. ๐
I wasnโt aware that LโOccitane made sheet masks until I spied this LโOccitane Instant Illuminating Sheet Mask in my local store. The sheet is ever so slightly thicker than your traditional Korean sheet mask, but is saturated in a milky emulsion that feels cooling upon contact with skin. Thereโs still plenty of this lightly floral scented serum that remains atop the skin after 30 minutes but the excess is easily absorbed, without stickiness or tack, and skin is nicely hydrated and moisturized. Those with oily, combination or normal skin might want to wring out the extra serum before applying the sheet to the face. Those with dry or very dry skin, on the other hand, will he pleased with how nourishing this mask is and the cooling feeling will add to the pleasant experience with this beauty.
LalaRecipe Glow Face Moisture Mask has a few things going for it - key ingredients look good and the sparkles embedded in the hydrogel are pretty. That said, there were also some hiccups with this sheet mask, at least for me. Adherence wasnโt great - both the top and bottom halves kept sliding down my face and the openings for the eyes were far too narrow and unwieldy. I was having such a difficult time with it that I actually removed the mask and called it a day after about 5 minutes. Sigh.
innisfree Super Volcanic AHA Pore Clearing Clay Mask 3.38 oz / 100 ml
K18 Biomimetic Hairscience Leave-In Molecular Repair Hair Mask L
It's such a good one @lmaster! And a pretty penny, too! $10.50, which, in the grand scheme of things, there are sheet masks that are more expensive, but when you've seen ones for $1.00 that perform remarkably well, I do pause at the price. BUT, the milky serum was what my skin wanted. I have a recollection that L'Occitane should be having a friends & family sale this month so maybe see if you can pick it up then?
L'Occitane's Friends & Family is going on now. 20% off with code: FRIEND - looks to be sitewide so the sheet mask, restock the overnight oil-in-serum, the almond cleansing oil, etc., etc. @lmaster
After seeing @itsfi having so much success with the JMSolution brand, I decided it was time to try some out too!
JMsolution Cure in Colla-Biome Two-Steps Eye Mask
This eye mask is divided into two sections, one with the serum and one with the eye masks. You are supposed to squeeze the serum so that it releases into the section with the masks, making sure to fully saturate the masks.
Material: Cotton
Serum: Very slightly slimy/gel-like consistency that was thin but not runny.
Scent: None that I could detect
Fit: They were a good size, comfortable to wear and stayed on pretty well
Wear Time: About a half hour
Tack: None
Results:
Smooth, hydrated and noticeably brighter
Repurchase?
I still have a few more of these to use, but I'd definitely repurchase when I'm out (if they're not too hard to find - found these at Marshall's๐ฌ)
