Skin advice

I have lots of pimples due to oily skin but other areas of my face are super dry! Any suggestions to treat both? P.S. I have super sensitive skin.

Re: Skin advice

I recommend The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Oil Control Serum  as well! The niacinimide will help with oil and pores and zinc is great for healing skin. I’ve also started using Farmacy Mini Deep Sweep 2% BHA Pore Cleaning Toner with Moringa + Papaya 1.7 / 50  which will help keeping pores clean.

Also make sure you are continuing to moisturize your skin (I’m currently using The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA Daily Moisturizer 3.3 oz/ 100 mL  as well as Origins GinZing™ SPF 40 Energy-Boosting Tinted Moisturizer 1.7 oz/ 50 mL  ) and do not use a harsh cleanser (ones that strip all oils and make your skin feel tight). I made that mistake for years and my T-zone would just get worse and worse from oil production over compensation and when I focused on a gentler cleanser and moisturizing it really helped that area. I would also recommend Youth To The People Superfood Gentle Antioxidant Refillable Cleanser  Ive been using it for a few weeks and its amazing. Its pretty pricey but will last a long time but CeraVe foaming cleanser also works well and doesn't dry me out. Hope that helps! Combination skin is sooo tricky!

Re: Skin advice

Niacinamide is a great option, I recommend the one from the ordinary! Also a good BHA solution would help also, Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant 8 oz/ 236 mL  does wonders! And for the dry areas I would go for a hyaluronic acid some of my favorites are the Farmacy Filling Good Hyaluronic Acid Plumping Serum 1.0 oz/ 30 mL  and the Glow Recipe Plum Plump™ Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum

Re: Skin advice

I would start using products by “The Ordinary”. The prices are insanely low for incredibly well made products. They have a Salicylic Acid treatment amongst many other choices. I’d google best skin regime for acne by The Ordinary. I’ve been using there products for about six months now and am in love!! Plus everything they have is pretty much under $10-Cant beat that!! #theordinary Good luck🎉💜

Re: Skin advice

I can't see or load the reply's to this post but adding The Ordinarys Niamincide to your routine is a budget friendly idea.  Niaminicide plays well with allot of ingredients out there and can help regulate oil production and can be helpful for some people with acne. Depending on the type and cause of your acne,

Re: Skin advice

I think cerave products are the way to go. Very mild but effective.

Re: Skin advice

Do you currently have a skin care routine, @ScorpioSwiftie ? If so, what products are you using?

Re: Skin advice

My skincare routine is pretty limited but I'd like to enlarge it. I normally use only Cerave cleanser, Facial Toner, and Olay Moisturizer. Idk really what I should be using. Thanks!

Re: Skin advice

What specific toner, @ScorpioSwiftie? I'd consider adding a sunscreen and a BHA treatment next, depending on what toner you're using.

Re: Skin advice

@ScorpioSwiftieA simple Routine isn't necessarily a bad thing. For a Treatment or alternative(s) to your current wash, etc. - Inkey has a few reasonably priced items that might suit your skin. Read reviews first, of course. Paula's Choice and Fab are also quite ok & not wicked pricey.
