SkII moisturizer alternative

Hey all! So a while ago I bit the bullet and stupidly ordered the SKII LXP moisturizer (the one in the gold container). While I initially felt it too heavy, I quickly got accustomed to it and eventually loved it. I’ve been out for a few months now and I can’t bring myself to spend that much again. Do you know any good alternatives that are sustainable in the long-run (maybe under $100)? I’ve tried several now, but none are heavy enough, or they are but cause massive break-outs. As an aside, I also use retin-a and bakuchiol at night and peeled like crazy until I used LXP so I appreciated how rich it was. Since I ran out I can’t keep it up regularly because of the peeling and face is going haywire.

RE: SkII moisturizer alternative

A lot of Tatcha fans here. I actually tried the water cream before and it was a waste. Made me breakout like crazy. Also not a fan of their B.S. marketing. Thanks though!

Re: SkII moisturizer alternative

Have you sampled the Fresh Black Tea corset cream? Its just under the 100$ price. I tried to switch full time to Drunk Elephant Protini, but whenever I do overnight acid treatments my skin needs more moisture so I’m having trouble breaking away from it. It’s very rich and hydrating but doesn’t pill or cause massive breakouts like the Tatcha did for me.

I know the feeling—every time I get any SKII I wish I didn’t have to go back to earth. Tatcha’s Dewy Cream is as close as I’ve found to the SKII.

@kensian I adore TATCHA - The Water Cream and think it and TATCHA - The Dewy Skin Cream would be great alternatives. I also love ESTéE LAUDER - Revitalizing Supreme Global Anti-Aging Crème not sure what skin concerns your needing but it’s well rounded.
