Sebaceous filaments

Anyone have any favourite products when trying to get rid of sebaceous filaments? Any recommendations, suggestions and information is welcome!

RE: Sebaceous filaments

Drunk Elephant glycolic night serum! I too struggle GREATLY with sebaceous filaments. It’s kind of a slow process depending on how many you have but the key is to leave them alone! I know it’s tempting to try to remove them but don’t! Instead, use a salicylic acid and/or glycolic acid. The DE product I mentioned is awesome, I’ve left a review for it if you want to know more. I did experience a purge, but it lasted maybe like 2-3 weeks only. Ask for a sample!

Re: Sebaceous filaments

@aineberg I've read conflicting opinions on treatment of SF here on BIC.  I've read elsewhere that treatment for them is similar to treating blackheads - that BHA will be your best friend.  Good luck!  🙂

@hhollnagel

BHA stands for Beta Hydroxy Acid. You'll also see it referred to as Salicylic Acid, or SA. It's the only oil-soluble acid that can penetrate below the skin to clean the gunk out of pores, and is good for a wide range of things, including blackheads and sebaceous filaments 🙂
