Rosacea help needed!!

I have type 1 rosacea due to which I have a super sensitive, dry facial skin with red rashes. My face reacts to anything and everything. Looking for a moisturizer that helps keep my rosacea under control. Any suggestions are appreciated!! 🙏🏽

Re: Rosacea help needed!!

@shruh  I had rosacea for over 15 years, so first I send you big hugs because it’s not fun ❤️

Mine has been in full remission for two years now but it was quite the process to get there. Before starting with moisturizers, even ones that are marketed as safe for sensitive skin, you may want to try hydrating your face nightly with a very gentle, watery sheet mask. I really like Dermal Korea Collagen sheet masks, which you can find on Amazon. They’re very affordable (about US$1.20 each when you buy them in packs of 16 or more) and they have never irritated my skin. The hydration in these masks is very light (not at all oily or heavy), which I find makes it very rosacea-friendly.

Once you can get your skin in healthier shape, it may tolerate more “adventurous” products. (That’s what happened with mine.) Yet, I still lean heavily on Korean, Taiwanese, and Japanese sheet masks for nightly, very gentle, cost-effective hydration and balancing of my skin. My skin can still spontaneously reject all sorts of moisturizers at any time but it has never rejected my trusty sheet masks 😊

If you’re interested, there’s a thread here dedicated to masking that may give you ideas. All the gals there are super nice and always happy to answer questions and offer masking advice. Here’s the link:

Best of luck to you!

Thank u so much!!

I have type 2 rosacea ("acne rosacea").  If you're still looking for a moisturizer, you might try Dr. Jart (I use both the Cicapair and Ceramindin creams) or La Roche-Posay (sold at pharmacies or online).  Recently, I've been very impressed Ren Clean Skincare's Evercalm Gentle Cleansing Milk.  You might want to explore their moisturizers.

I've really gotten into shopping for products online - Sephora does such a good job at identifying products that are for sensitive skin and it's handy to see what the ingredients are, too.  (Look for something that doesn't include alcohol as a top ingredient because it can be drying.)  Also scan through reviews - any products w/ reviews from people w/ rosacea make my short list to explore.

The tatcha indigo cream moisturizer!! I swear I’ve tried every single moisturizer on earth (belief, fresh, drunk elephant, caudalie, Sunday Riley, etc etc) and this is the one that has truly comforted and soothed my skin

Re: Rosacea help needed!!

@shruh Type 1 rosacea here too! Right now I'm using a private label night cream, but I've tried two Sephora products with success:  Youth To The People Superfood Air-Whip Lightweight Face Moisturizer with Hyaluronic Acid 2 oz / 59 mL and CAUDALIE - Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet. If your skin is that dry, then the Caudalie would probably suit your needs better. Have you managed to determine particular ingredients that cause a reaction? I'm on that same journey, and it's complicated!

Thank you for the suggestions. I did try caudalie in the past and my skin didnt like it 😞 which private label cream are you using?

RE: Rosacea help needed!!

Hi! I have rosacea as well. I love IT Cosmetics. I just got Lancôme advances génifique sensitive. And my skin loves it.
