Retinol break out from hell

Used the A-passioni from Drunk Elephant and my skin is extremely sensitive and broken out. Help!!

Re: Retinol break out from hell

I used the A-passioni for 2-3 months, thinking that my skin was just going through retinization but holey moley it was way too aggressive for me. My whole face peeled off. I have read that others are having the same reaction to that product. I stopped using it and started using a 0.3% retinol instead.

What helped me when I used the A-passioni was Drunk Elephants Virgin Marula oil. I am not a huge fan of facial oils in general but it was the only product that wouldn't burn. It is really fantastic.

Re: Retinol break out from hell

I wanted to like Drunk Elephant, they have so many loyal followers. However, my skin breaks out with their products.

Same. I wanted to like the DE products, but they did NOT like me. 👎 The Philosophy line (Purity cleanser and lotion) has done well though. My skin is back to normal. 🙌

I don't care for their products and either does my skin

Retinol break out from hell

when I need calming @AmberAnderson79 I go for Peter Thomas Roth rose stem cell bio repair mask, or first aid beauty ginger and tumeric mask

Re: Retinol break out from hell

@lmaster What a great suggestion! I am going to try that when I need some calming from all of the products I use:)

Best,

Rebecca

@lmaster Can't wait to try! I have trouble finding my go-to for that!
