Peter Thomas Roth Mask Mashup Gratis

I just received a gratis package from @peterthomasroth, which is the Mask Mashup 6-Piece Kit. I can't wait to try everything and give some feedback. Thank you so very much @SephoraBIC and @peterthomasroth! 

It contains a sampler kit with 6 of PTR's most popular masks. Specifically, it contains Irish Moor Mud Purifying Black Mask (Purifying, Decongesting, and Hydrating), Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel Mask (Restoring, Revitalizing, and Brightening), 24K Gold Pure Luxury Lift & Firm Mask (Lifting, Firming, & Glowing), Cucumber Gel Mask Extreme De-Tox Hydrator (Soothing, Hydrating, & Detoxifying), Hungarian Thermal Water Mineral-Rich Atomic Heat Mask (Nourishing, Hydrating, & Restoring), and the Pumpkin Enzyme Mask Enzymatic Dermal Resurfacer (Exfoliating, Peeling, and Polishing).

I didn't see any other threads on this yet nor did I see an official thread to post about this gratis package, so hopefully it's ok that I'm posting this. 

I'm so excited to give these a try and share what I think!!

Tonight I used Ptr Pumpkin enZYme. Omg holy pumpkin pie! Y’all weren’t kidding about the scent. I left it on for 5 minutes. My skin was very smooth afterwards. But boy does the smell linger. Maybe a little too long for me. 

Next I used PTR Rose stem cell mask. 

I’ve been putting this off as I don’t like rose scents. I read a review that it was not heavily scented, so I thought I’d try it out. I’m glad I did. The scent was very slight (although I still smelled like pumpkin pie, so that could of masked it). It was very refreshing after the enzyme mask. 

I have to admit that my face looks amazing tonight. It is bright, glowy and looks younger. I give this combo an A+!

So Mr. PETER THOMAS ROTH - Irish Moor Mud Purifying Black Mask

and I had very casual date this afternoon (I wore sweats and he was top (lid)less for a small portion. 

As I recalled from past encounters with Mr.Irish, the application was quite smooth and very easy to spread. Unlike other Clay type masks, Mr.Moor does not dry down and leave a tight, crackly feeling on the skin. 

After 15 mins, I hopped into the shower and tried to rinse the mask off; it required a bit of effort so I added a dollop of Philosophy Purity cleanser and massaged into my skin and the mask washed off cleanly. 

My face feels smooth, clean and calm.

I’ve gone through all the gratis PTR masks and my thoughts I had about each of them remained pretty much the same. Old loves were reaffirmed and for the most part, masks that were ‘meh’ the first time around pretty stayed ‘meh’.

Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask Enzymatic Dermal Resurfacer 5 oz  is one of my favorite masks in this set and in the PTR mask range. It smells deliciously of pumpkin pie at the holidays. It’s a great exfoliating mask – gentle but effective, and one I would consider purchasing a full size once I’ve made a dent in the exfoliating wash off masks in my stash.

The other favorite mask from the set is the PETER THOMAS ROTH - Irish Moor Mud Purifying Black Mask. The first time I tried this mask I was nervous that it would dry down, tighten and make my skin even more dry, but to my excitement, it did not do any of those things – then or now. This is another one that I would happily purchase a full size.

PETER THOMAS ROTH - Hungarian Thermal Water Mineral-Rich Atomic Heat Mask is not a bad mask at all – the results from this mask make me happy, but the process to get the warming feeling advertised is a bit too tedious for my liking. Since the results are good, this one is one I might consider picking up a full size, though there are other PTR masks (including the ones in this gratis set as well as others that are not part of this set).

PETER THOMAS ROTH - Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel Mask and Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask Extreme Detoxifying Hydrator 5 oz are in similar categories for me with respect to the consistency and type of mask. The first time I tried this mask set I was really not a fan of either of these masks, but now, with the warmer weather and my skin experiencing some patches of dryness as a result of change in the weather, frequently being on a plane and in heavily air-conditioned rooms, these come in handy for  cooling hydration (rose stem) and soothing (cucumber), and work well for some hydrating spot treatment in the summertime.

Finally, the Peter Thomas Roth 24K Gold Mask Pure Luxury Lift & Firm 5 oz just doesn’t work for me, despite some efforts to come up with other ways to get the best out of the mask. Good news is that it didn’t cause my skin any irritation or breakout; but at the same time, it didn’t really stand out for any reason, which makes me think this falls in the “it’s not you, it’s me” camp.

Thank you for your review @itsfi!!! I totally agree with your assessment. Even though I haven't tried the 24 Gold Mask yet, I don't expect much from it. The Pumpkin Enzyme and Irish Moor Mud Mask are the best of the set for me. I already have a full size the Hungarian Water Mask. I really like that mask, but I would only buy it on sale.

Thanks for reviewing, @itsfi!  I have yet to try the 24k gold mask from my set and I should.  I'm interested because it seems to be evenly split if you love it or hate it.  I'll be sure to break it out tomorrow!

I think I used two products together that probably shouldn't have been mixed (I'm using a lot of samples) and my face has that "over-exfoliated" feeling.  So I just put on some Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask Extreme Detoxifying Hydrator 5 oz

I like it!  It's very soothing.  I don't know that it has any particular anti-aging properties but it is definitely soothing on angry skin!

I finally tried the last two PTR masks last night. I started with the PETER THOMAS ROTH - Hungarian Thermal Water Mineral-Rich Atomic Heat Mask .

It is a bit harder to apply than any of the other masks. I left it on for almost 3 minutes and massaged in with cool water. The heat felt nice and it didn’t irritate my skin. After rinsing off I noticed my face felt a bit softer. Then I used the Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask Extreme Detoxifying Hydrator 5 oz

I used this one as an overnight mask. It felt very nice and soothing. This morning my face felt very nice and refreshed. This has been a fantastic mask set. If I had to rank them I would say

1. Pumpkin enzyme 

2. Irish Moor mud

3. Rose Stem cell

4. 24k gold

5. Cucumber detox 

6. Hungarian thermal
