I just received a gratis package from @peterthomasroth, which is the Mask Mashup 6-Piece Kit. I can't wait to try everything and give some feedback. Thank you so very much @SephoraBIC and @peterthomasroth!
It contains a sampler kit with 6 of PTR's most popular masks. Specifically, it contains Irish Moor Mud Purifying Black Mask (Purifying, Decongesting, and Hydrating), Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel Mask (Restoring, Revitalizing, and Brightening), 24K Gold Pure Luxury Lift & Firm Mask (Lifting, Firming, & Glowing), Cucumber Gel Mask Extreme De-Tox Hydrator (Soothing, Hydrating, & Detoxifying), Hungarian Thermal Water Mineral-Rich Atomic Heat Mask (Nourishing, Hydrating, & Restoring), and the Pumpkin Enzyme Mask Enzymatic Dermal Resurfacer (Exfoliating, Peeling, and Polishing).
I didn't see any other threads on this yet nor did I see an official thread to post about this gratis package, so hopefully it's ok that I'm posting this.
I'm so excited to give these a try and share what I think!!
Here are some photos:
Congratulations to the following masking lovelies who also received this wonderful surprise (I'll try to update as needed, but let me know if I've missed anyone):
Also...I will add this here as well so nobody misses it!!
The PTR Mask Mashup is occuring this weekend (June 21-23) for everyone to try any/all of the PTR masks they would like and share their feedback!
@eshoe put a survey up in the masking thread and will post results on Monday so everyone can add their thoughts.
Please see the 2019 Mask of the Week Challenge thread for more info:

It looks to be the sampler I've tagged:
@rockstargina my skin suffered when I was pregnant, and for a few years after. The hormonal acne, the sneezing and sniffling-I don’t miss that but you know it’s worth it! Skin can wait, mine did. Pretty sure I didn’t do more than cleanse and moisturize for at least four years. Hang in there💗
@rockstargina Congratulations on receiving this gratis!
Congrats @rockstargina - this is such a great gratis!
Alright my first review of a mask from this kit! Buckle up because this is a classic long review from me😂
PTR Cucumber Gel Mask Extreme De-Tox Hydrator
What it’s supposed to do: soothe, hydrate and detoxify the skin. Apparently it can also be used under the eye for puffiness. I don’t have a huge issue with puffy under-eyes, but I’ll give it a try and report back when I do!
Key ingredients: cucumber, aloe, papaya, chamomile, pineapple, sugar maple, sugarcane, orange, lemon, bilberry
Directions: apply a “generous” layer, leave on for 10 mins, rinse with cool water. Can also be used overnight by applying a thin layer. I’m very interested in trying it this way!!
Observations: the mask is a lightweight gel that I thought would smell like cucumbers, but I actually think it smelled faintly of papaya. It spread easily and the consistency was just enough that it wasn’t running all down my face. It applied and dried down clear. It dried down a little tacky at the ten minute mark, but honestly I would have let it dry down more fully and kept it on all day if I wasn’t going to work (I don’t think it would layer well with makeup because of the texture).
My experience and thoughts: in the interest of really testing this mask out, my first attempt was to follow the directions exactly as written. This morning, I applied a medium thickness layer (seemed generous enough to me!). And left it on for ten mins. Not too sure I noticed a lot of cooling, but maybe next time I’ll put it in the fridge and try it that way. I like the consistency and the smell. After I rinsed it off, my face did feel soft and hydrated. My skincare went on really beautifully and absorbed nicely after. I had some redness from some would-be pimples that (luckily) didn’t materialize, and that seemed to go down. As for “extreme detox” I have no idea why they would call it that, because I don’t think I saw or felt any detoxing effects. That being said, I have a lot of masks that I feel do a great job at detoxing the skin, so that wouldn’t be why I reach for this anyways. I’m really happy with the results! I’m going to be trying it cold, under the eyes, and as a sleeping mask at some point too and will report back!
Grade: A for how I would use it, B+ for how it stacks up to how it was advertised.
Repurchase: definitely!
@cianni I enjoy your long and thorough reviews. Sometimes the grade is heavily based on expectations. Glad you have a way it will work well for you.
Thank you! @ShortErica The Irish moor is currently on my face so another review should be posted tomorrow 😂
@byme4u it’s definitely a mild exfoliator at best, but oh welll. I didn’t use it as an exfoliant so I’m still very pleased with the results!
Nice review @cianni!!! I didn't notice any cooling when I used this mask either. I kept it on for 20 minutes, and it still felt tacky to the touch. Next time I'm going to try it as a sleep mask too, even though gel masks do not mix well with my moisturizer.
@sephoraaddict918 what moisturizer do you use?
I use the Kiehl's Creme d'Elegance Repairateur @cianni.
@scott1201 I’m throwing this in my “travel bag/skin emergency while abroad” lifesaver kit hahaha
Great review @cianni. I feel very similarly about this one! I'd love to hear your thoughts after you try it on the under eye area. Not to make you be a guinea pig or anything, but my eyes are pretty sensitive and I think I'd rather hear what you think first before I try anything near my eyes. 🙂 I did find it very soothing, though, so I can see how it might be very nice used this way.
@PrettyPaint guinea pig reporting back 🙋🏽♀️ Popped it in the fridge and applied to my undereye at night. I don’t normally have issues with puffiness so I can’t speak on how it would affect that concern, but my go-to eye cream has been drying my undereye out lately and making it a little irritated (why, who knows! My skin loves to keep me on my toes). TOTAL lifesaver! I used the TINIEST amount and it still felt like enough. I ran out of my beloved laneige eye sleeping mask and I think the PTR May be a solid replacement for the summer months (the laneige is much thicker and I don’t really need that kind of hydration in the more humid months). I only use a product like this when my skin needs it, but I will say my eyes felt back to normal this morning! I treated it like a sleeping mask
@cianni Thank you so very much for the update. It sounds like it worked perfectly! That's fantastic. I'm glad it didn't cause any dryness or irritation - it sounds like it may definitely work well as a summertime eye treatment! 🙂 Yay!
