Morning routine.

Does anyone have any ideas for quick morning routines for people with acne?  In like under 25 minutes every day, college life.

RE: Morning routine.

Depending on your skin type you might be able to cut out cleansing in the morning all together-- there is a youtuber Liah Yoo who makes tons of videos about acne and how to solve issues. If you don't feel comfortable not washing your face in the AM try a cleanser with a low PH level so it won't irritate your skin! Then use a hydrating toner and moisture. Also SPF is a must because acne inflames your skin and the sun can damage those spots even more, leading to worse redness later. For current redness or discoloration try using Tamanu Oil at night mixed in with your moisture, it has done wonders for me.

I just graduated college and completely understand. My advice is to start off with a good cleanser, for acne prone try Boscia detoxifying cleanser or the clear complexion cleanser. Also Erno Laszlo Sea Mud Bar or anti- blemish wash are great.  Find a good moisturizer that will help oil control and also treat acne. Kate Somerville has some great moisturizer for acne prone skin. Honestly, I recommend doing your routine at night right before bed. I washed my face at night, using the Erno Laszlo sea mud bar (it helps detoxify your skin), use a toner afterward (Fresh rose toner if my skin is dry or Sunday Riley Martian toner if my skin has a break out) and use a moisturizer. (sometimes a mask if I want to pamper myself). In the mornings, I use the Dr. Jart Dermaclear Microwater to remove any impurities and refresh my skin. This helped me alot since I had morning classes and sometimes woke up 30 mins before it started. You'll love the Dermaclear Microwater, its super convenient for a quick face refresher and it really gets deep into the pores.

Thank you so much, I am totally going to try all of these products!

Have you tried the Clinique acne solutions? I believe there are other sets like murad and kamins; which I haven't tried. I'm so simple - I use a cleanser/daily exfoliator and a moisturizer. For make-up - primer, foundation, concealer, setting powder - along with mascara, blush, bronzer, etc. All products I use are oil-free or acne prone. I probably take around 20 mins to get ready - the longest part being mascara.

I'd suggest starting with cleansing and moisturizing as your main goals for where to spend time. I personally wash my face in the shower, so I just put on moisturizer and face after. But like the first comment, keep your look simple. simple also translates to timeless, so it's a win on multiple fronts! - BB cream is a must Dr Jart makes a great line, and this product will cover moisture, prime, and SPF needs all in one - Foundation in a light to medium coverage will get you the easiest (quickest) application... so think tinted moisturizer, foundation sticks like the MUFE, or It Cosmetics CC Cream (I like this a lot currently, because if absolutely needed, you can go straight to this and skip the first moisturizer step above) - eyebrows: the quickest, easiest will likely be Benefit Gimme Brow - swipe one or two swipes of your favorite mascara - add a cream or stick blush (for speed purposes, or choose regular blush if you like it better and have the time) on the apples of your cheeks - spritz 4 pumps of Urban Decay All Nighter makeup setting spray - Good to go!
