Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.

Masking Spreadsheet Info

Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).

Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.

Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!

 Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-

Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word

Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
 

There are 2 ways to edit a response: 

1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:

2) PM @Aaliaa or @eshoe to make the change directly in the response spreadsheet

Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.

Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.

Oh I think you would love it @Shosh85 I received a sample from ipsy and used it up then bought a full size of it,, it has the most wonderful coffee scent ever!

The TCFS Coconut Oil Serum Mask sounds great for winter dry skin @Shosh85 ! I think my skin would love this mask! I think it’s a great idea to use the Purlisse exfoliating mud mask in the shower or as a spot treatment! It must be very drying though!

@keana1 Masks like the Purlisse are always just a little drying on my skin and I seem to have better luck when it's not sitting on my face as long. Spot treatments are nice because I can just target the specific areas that need help and avoid the extra dry spots!

I definitely feel like that TCFS mask is perfect for uncomfortable dry or dehydrated skin – great one to have a backup of in the winter!👍

Great masking combo @Shosh85! I like your idea of using the Purlisse (or any mud mask that hardens) as an in-shower scrub. 👍🏼

With the cold weather, it’s a great time for oil serum sheet masks! 😃

@itsfi I'm really starting to like the Purlisse brand and wasn't even aware they had anything other than sheet masks until I got this in my subscription!👍😉

Using masks like this as in-shower scrub is just less drying on my face but still effective– Its also much easier (and less messy) removing a mask like this in the shower than over the sink!👌🤗

Mario Badescu 3 face masks for 12 dollars!! Amazing deal that comes with the whitening mask to brighten your skin. The super collagen mask to tighten up that skin and the flowers and tonic mask for rebalancing!

Hi! On Thursday when I was looking at the sales I also didn’t see this on ulta, I only saw the sprays. So I was planning on buying the trio sprays but then when I got to the actual ulta store I found this right next to it and bought the masks instead. I was looking this morning and I still didn’t see the masks online either.... not sure why. Maybe you could call ulta and ask why or if they have it in stores still.

Playing a little catch up to get back on track with routine daily!! Masking since I’ve been slacking here and there which is not enjoyable. Exuviance eye masks were okay nothing special I wouldn’t repurchase and the others in the first pic are my regs so I won’t comment on them. Que Bella pomegranate peel off mask I received last year for Christmas and wasn’t sure of the brand but I have been seeing more maskers on the thread reviewing! It took a while to actually dry down so my first go at it was eh, it had enough for 2 sessions in the pouch and the second time I was left with bright skin not sure if I would repurchase but it was fine. Still loving Mario as well lol. Ulta bubbling mask absolutely did not bubble, it was fine it did hydrate but would not purchase and I’m glad it was a gwp.lush volcano foot mask, man I forgot how much I loved it and I’m so thankful for the associate who made me two samples!! You wrap your feet in plastic wrap after applying the mask let it sit for about 20 mins and voila soft tootsies, it has a cooling sensation when on too. 7th heaven black seaweed well it was passed to me from a friend, I didn’t look at ingredients much I was skeptical, the mask worked well peeled off beautifully in one piece and did reduce some oil I wouldn’t repurchase without combing through ingredient but I did enjoy it. Hope to be a bit more regular and post soon!

So many great masks here, @SAlyFitz! The Lush Volcano Foot Mask sounds like it would be good, my sister loves everything Lush so it gives me a good idea for Christmas 🙂

@SAlyFitz I used the watermelon peel-off from que bella. Reading your comments made me realize maybe I over applied it. I used it all at once and it didn't have a consistent dry down. Though I still doubt it would change my mind about repurchasing.

@SAlyFitz I received a sample of the Exuviance eye mask when I purchased the bionic oxygen facial and I remember they irritated the crap out of my eyes. The oxygen facial was refreshing but I really didn’t see anything special about it on my skin. Decide to return and switch to the Dr Brandt oxygen facial instead and enjoyed it every since. Not sure what but so far Exuviance products and I just don’t get along. Maybe i’ll try them again in the future.
