Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.
Masking Spreadsheet Info
Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).
Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.
Additional Info:
Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!
Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-
Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word
Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
There are 2 ways to edit a response:
1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:
2) PM @Aaliaa or @eshoe to make the change directly in the response spreadsheet
Thanks @eshoe for putting this together!
Rules
Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.
Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.
Have Fun!!
P.S. If you have any suggestions or challenge recommendations feel free to message me and I'll add them to the list.

Merry Masking!
Thanks for the heads up @eshoe! I could see myself thinking that the ampoule was just decorative! LOL! 🙂 I remember that you posted a review about it. I'll look that up before I use this one.
Tuesday AM:
Tuesday morning started with a marathon masking session with these lovelies, all founded or co-founded by a woman. Except for the hair mask, I've used and posted about these goodies before so I'll just talk about the hair mask in the spolier, but let me know if you have questions about the other items.
The Rahua Omega 9 Hair Mask is my first foray into Rahua products. The product is vegan and described as “a powerful at-home treatment that strengthens and rejuvenates dull, damaged hair.” The directions say to apply after shampooing, leave it on for 10-15 minutes and then rinse off. So I did just that. I started with the bottom half of my hair and worked my way up so that I’m just using a little bit of the product on my scalp and near my hairline because while that part of my hair needs nourishment, my hair can easily get weighed down by products and look really oily, neither of which is flattering or helpful. 😉
The first couple of things that stand out to me about the mask is its scent and texture. I detected a rather medicinally herbal scent to it when I opened the packet and put my nose to it, but I didn’t smell it at all as I was applying it to my hair. This mask is also more dense than other hair masks I’ve used, which initially gave me some pause as I was concerned about it weighing down my hair, but that did not turn out to be an issue. The mask feels less like a lotion and more balmy, maybe like a cross between a cream and a balm. Results-wise, the mask does a good job of detangling and conditioning - my hair felt softer after using the mask. It’s a nice hair mask; but it’s not a favorite or a must have for me. I have a handful of samples of other hair masks I plan on using over the next few weeks so we’ll see how this one compares to the other ones.
Tuesday PM (cross-posting from Feedback Wanted: Origins New Mask! thread😞
I had not planned on masking Tuesday evening but when I came home I saw that I received a sneak peek of a new mask from Origins, "Hello, Calm" so I tried the mask that evening, applying it all over to one side of my face and using it as a spot treatment on the other side. Here's a link to my thoughts and others' take on the mask, if you are interested: https://community.sephora.com/t5/Skincare-Aware/Feedback-Wanted-Origins-New-Mask/td-p/4158270/page/3
If the Rahua mask has a scent like the shampoo and conditioner, it’s fennel, @itsfi. 💗 that brand, haven’t tried the mask you used yet, though. Sorry it wasn’t a hit for you. Do you have a favorite hair mask?
Oh, maybe that's what it is! Thanks @eshoe. I couldn't figure out the scent. The next time I'm in Sephora, I'll see what the shampoo smells like to see if it is the same scent. The mask is actually OK but I've used other masks that have given me the same or better results and that have a scent that is more appealing to me. So far, I like the Briogeo hair mask (I have a full size and several foils of that one). I have a mini's of the Amika masks that a lot of people on here love so I'm looking forward to trying those out soon. Do you have a favorite hair mask?
I use mostly leave-in oils as masks, @itsfi. Aveda makes my favorite but since I rarely use styling tools on my hair, it’s healthy and I only mask once or twice a month. I love SACHAJUAN - Leave In Conditioner because the scent reminds me of my Grandma😊 so I am using my DS very sparingly!
@itsfi Looks like a nice array of masks! The hair mask sounds pretty decent – it will be interesting to hear how it compares to the others you have!! 👌🤗
Ive heard good things about that lip scrub – the flavors they come on sound great!! 👍
@Shosh85 I've just recently discovered that I have quite a collection of samples or DS of hair masks - Amika, Brigeo, Sephora, etc. - so I'm hopeful my hair will be healthy and happy through the fall and winter. 🙂
I do like the flavors that the Sara Happ lip scrubs come in - it can make it hard to choose which one to get. 😉
Thanks @Aaliaa! It’s The Lip Scrub by Sara Happ. This is the old packaging. She has several different flavors - vanilla bean, brown sugar, red velvet, coconut, sparkling peach, grapefruit, etc. - some may be seasonal. I think you can find them on amazon Canada and The Shopping Channel.
Last nights masking:
Two HG masks, one female creator! Started with the DE Babyfacial and followed with the unpictured DE Marula Oil. That👏Oil👏Is👏Divine👏 So so good! Then, a couple hours later when I was going to bed, I popped on the Creme Shop Green Tea Latte sheet mask. I love all these fusion masks and my skin was thankful for the extra hydration!
Tonight:
I googled brands while standing in my bathroom for like 10 minutes (which, okay, this is truely a problem in and of itself but that’s another conversation for another day when we aren’t all being happy with excellent skin from all our masks.) Turns out, Pacifica was founded by a woman! I just so happen to have a Pacifica sheet mask, kindly gifted from the sheet mask fairy @itsfi , and I decided to give it a spin!
This mask has the same fit as the previous Pacifica mask I’ve tried - very long and too narrow and with heart eye HOLES 😍. It’s odd my a mask to be so long on my forehead since I’m the proud owner of a 5-head, so be aware of that. But, it did smell like coconut 🥥 and felt very soothing which are obviously pros. So far, it’s still on my face but I really like it! I wouldn’t use this if I had clean hair, because the mask would definitely get into it. But, right now I’m chilling with Olaplex in my clipped up hair so I don’t mind anyway!
@scott1201 These sound like some great masks! I used that Green Tea Latte mask as well and loved it! Definitely a repurchase!
I've seen a whole bunch of those Pacifica masks at Target and always wondered about them – I'll have to pick a couple up next time I go! 👍
You certainly don't look like you have "5-head" 😉 I don't know if I have a 5-head but my whole head in general is super big and bulbous! Haha! The way I look at it is, the bigger the head, the bigger the brain! 😂🧠
I was gifted the Green Tea mask by @itsfi and I think I'm going to use it today after your post @scott1201. Great Masking!!
@Aaliaa @scott1201 there are so many good choices from the fusion line of masks! Whenever I start thinking about which ones I really like, the list just gets longer and longer. LOL!
You used some great masks the last couple of days @scott1201! Love Olaplex too! ❤️
A 5-Head? 🤨 crickets here.. @scott1201@SchylarR some help, please?
@eshoe @SchylarR @scott1201 Sorry for popping in but I saw it on the feed haha. A 5-Head is a forehead that’s a bit bigger than a “4” head. It’s a 5-Head. Some people have 3-heads.
How have I gone my entire life never hearing this, @alexasteph? There must be so much out there I do not know😂
