Hello Lovelies! As we make our resolutions and check them twice, I thought we could start a skincare version of the Weekly Challenge. Many of us wanted to use more masks, shop our stash and focus on our Skin so hopefully this thread will be an inspiration to do just that. Join us with pictures and comments down below.
Masking Spreadsheet Info
Hello every, @eshoe and I are very happy to present the BIC Masking Challenge Spreadsheet. The idea is to have an easily searchable database of masks and reviews as a reference point when we are considering our next purchase. Data integrity was important to us so instead of everyone inputing data directly into the spreadsheet where theoretically information could be deleted or edited we have the questionnaire. It should take no longer then 1-2 minutes with the option for a more detailed review (which you can copy from your post on this thread).
Remember the idea is not to replace this thread. I personally love reading, commenting and interacting with all you amazing women here and that shouldn’t change. This would just be on top of that. Hopefully the more people that partake in this, the larger database of information we’ll have for reference. It will be extra effort in the beginning but then we would only need to input any new mask we’ve tried.
Additional Info:
Since we aren’t allowed to post links, please PM or myself for it. You will also find this information on the original post so you don’t need a database to search for this post!
Incase you need some help to filter/search results, try this :-
Search Specific Word or Phrase —> Edit -> Find and Replace -> Search Word
Filter/Organize by Columns --> Data -> Create a Filter -> Select Options
There are 2 ways to edit a response:
1) Once you have completed a survey, click on the "Edit Your Response" link on that page. Once this page is closed, the only way to make a change is to:
2) PM @Aaliaa or @eshoe to make the change directly in the response spreadsheet
Thanks @eshoe for putting this together!
Rules
Each week there will be a new Masking Challenge posted. It will range from type of mask, brand specific week or fun challenges along the way.
Choose mask, take picture (with mask on or before), place mask on face, relax and dream of the next Sephora purchase you want to make, remove mask for healthier skin.
Have Fun!!
P.S. If you have any suggestions or challenge recommendations feel free to message me and I'll add them to the list.

Merry Masking!
@heartsmyface Fun hand mask! I love that your mug is self-censored too 🤣
Haha, phew, I remain safe from getting a wrist slap from the mods:) @fieldsofclover
These are the lip masks/treatments I used this week.
I use the bite lip mask almost every night and I like the Kaplan MD and Glamglow since they exfoliate without being to harsh.
I love Kaplan MD products!
Week 3: Lip, Hand or Foot Masks
Had a free morning today and tried to make the most of it - got in some 'me' time and spent a good part of it reading and masking. Ahhhh.... so relaxing! 🙂
Started with a nose mask, eye mask and DIY hair mask of avocado oil, honey and egg yolk). Later, followed those up with the hand and foot masks and the SK-II hydrating mask.
@Anonymous How fun! I’m very curious about the hand and foot masks. I’ve read the directions for a few foot masks and never bought them because I wouldn’t have the patience to leave them on for a set number of hours. Also, what does the hair mask help with? And how long do you leave it in for?
Oh, @CakesCakes, for the DIY hair mask, the honey and avocado oil are for moisturizing, strengthening; the honey also makes my hair smooth; egg yolks to help retain moisture - this winter has been brutal on my hair; it seems more dry than usual. I normally use olive oil for my DIY hair masks, but we ran out of that and had the avocado oil. I could have used an avocado but that was earmarked for my breakfast - avocado toast. 😉 I do this mask about once a month and leave it on for 10-20 minutes.
@Anonymous Thanks! I’ll have to try this sometime. I like doing DIY hair masks!
@CakesCakes, the directions for this foot mask say to leave it on for 20 minutes, so you could do a face mask (sheet or rinse off) and do this foot mask at the same time. I've left it on longer without a problem; there's a lot of essence in these masks so they could stay on longer without being soaked up, even with how dry my skin is. I'll put them on, turn on the electric throw blanket, curl up and read for a little bit ...
Agree @Lazybeautybeast! Reading and masking are two of my favorite things to do! I sometimes feel bad for taking 'me' time but when I take it, I find it is very helpful - restful and rejuvenating. A nice (and needed) break.
Nice range of masks @Anonymous! Do you find the honey gets sticky and hard to wash out after you apply it?
@Aaliaa, I haven't had any issues washing the honey out of my hair. I think the oil and egg yolk help to give it enough slip that it doesn't get so sticky (as I might imagine it would if I just added honey to my hair).
I am slow to take pictures, so here they are:
Jan 1st - 7th Hydrating Mask: Boscia Cool Blue Calming Mask
Jan 8th - 14th Glam Glow Mask: SUPERMUD
Jan 15th - 21st Lip Mask: THEFACESHOP Modeling Gel Patch for Lips (will use tonight)
Jan 22nd - 28th Weird Mask: I'm lame and am going to go with a Pore Scaling Black Aqua mask from Leaders
@Fernleaf I understand you completely! I’m always so late to take pictures too. I’d love to hear your thoughts about the lip masks once you’ve tried it out.
Nice choice of masks @Fernleaf! How did you like the lip mask?
@Fernleaf, these masks look so fun! After you've had a chance to use the lip mask, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it - I can never keep those masks on while sitting or standing upright.
As for next week's mask, I'm so intrigued by your mask. I've never seen that particularly one from Leaders before.
My sister has said nothing but good things about the lip mask, yet I have yet to try it out. The Leaders mask has no English on it but the front bit you can see, so I'll need to look up how this mask will work. I will definitely let you know about how they are, @Anonymous.
I'm jumping forward a few weeks to multi-masking week. I don't think I've ever used so many masks in one time but it was one of those lazy days I had the time to mask while doing things around the house. Yesterday I used my go-to coconut with a little tea tree oil hair oil and it always leaves my hair soft after washing. If my hair is feeling extra tangly (thats a word right?) the oil helps me comb my hair in the shower.
P.S This was my first time using the 24K Gold mask. This isn't something I would buy on its own, but it came in a set so I was happy to try it. It is supposed to be firming and anti-aging but I didn't really look any different. I didn't really expect to see any difference (can a mask really firm your face?) and would never but it on its own but I might use this on my neck, it can't hurt right!?!
@Aaliaa do you have a favorite PTR mask? I’ve only tried a sample of their mud mask and I loved it but haven’t purchased it because of the price. I thought about buying a holiday/mini set but wasn’t sure if I would use any of the other masks in the set.
For me its a toss-up between The Irish Moor Mud or the Pumpkin Enzyme. I have used them as a duo an I really like the results. Depending on your skin I would recommend one of these two from the PTR range @CakesCakes.
