Makeup remover

I am looking for a makeup remover, but I don't wanna use something like remover sheets (wipes), oils etc.. I would like to find something like creme or balm. Does anyone have recommendations? Thanks!

RE: Makeup remover

I like and used the double cleanse by pixi from target. So one side comes with a balm and the other comes with a cream. You first apply the balm to take off all the makeup but you have to use a wash cloth to take off the product and remove makeup. Then after that you use the cleansing cream. It gently cleans your skin and takes out any remaining makeup that may have been left behind. Then you use the wash cloth to take it off the product. I used to love using that to take off my makeup including waterproof and it worked. But now I just use a cleansing oil from khiels. I tend to change after awhile to tend to my current skincare needs.

OLE HENRICKSEN Wondefeel Double cleanser just melts my makeup right away and leaves my skin so soft. It comes with a soft cloth to wipe makeup right off. Itโ€™s my go to cleaners to remove Long wear makeup and itโ€™s gentle on my lashes and brows. Plus it smells super yummy!

Darphin rosewood cleansing balm!!! It is soooo gentle and make face so clean!

RE: Makeup remover

Trader Joe's tea tree make up remover! $6.99 gets all the make up off

Another vote for Clinique Take the Day Off. The balm kind in the tub. It feels amaaaazing on your face and really does remove everything with little fuss.

Re: Makeup remover

Cliniques take the day off balm is amazing, just check the reviews on a Sephora.com. It removes every trace of makeup without stripping skin or leaving a greasy residue. It's great for all skin types, even for acne prone skin.

Re: Makeup remover

@Anonymous I rec MUFE Sens-Eyes.  It is a creamy consistency and not oily.

You could also try a micellar water; I just tried Garnier and it was gentle but I need to test drive it more before making a rec.

Good luck!

Re: Makeup remover

I love the clinque take the day off balm! It starts as a solid and you warm it up in your hands and it turns into an oil! make sure you put in on a dry face tho

Re: Makeup remover

Agreed @riah1999!  I'm a fan of Clinique Take the Day Off Balm - I'm on my 3rd or 4th tub of it!  Love it for my first cleanse.

RE: Makeup remover

The makeup eraser is amazing! And itโ€™s reusable so canโ€™t go wrong there.

Re: Makeup remover

Ole henriksen vitamin c make up melter, it removes make up and brightens the skin

Re: Makeup remover

I have to agree with others here who suggest Clinique's Take the Day Off balm. A tub is pretty reasonably priced, lasts a long time, and really does take off everything! I use it every night as the first step of my skincare routine and don't think I will be switching anytime soon.

clinique take a day off is.really.good.

Re: Makeup remover

The Farmacy cleansing balm is soooo good! I got a deluxe sample and was immediately hooked. I was amazed at how well it took off my eye makeup without stinging and there was no oily residue in my eyes. I bought it during the Sephora sale after my first impression. You also don't need a lot, I'd say a dime sized ball is enough so the tub will last a long time.

RE: Makeup remover

The sephora brand cornflower oil remover works amazing! Also the Clinique โ€œtake the day offโ€ balm melts your makeup away easily

Re: Makeup remover

Hi @Anonymous,

The best makeup remover that is not oil based is the Banila Clean It Zero.  It's a cleaning balm/mousse and it's available on Amazon for around $20 for a big tub.  It removes even the super waterproof mascara with ease. ๐Ÿ™‚ Good luck!

RE: Makeup remover

Clinique Take Off The Day. I wear a lot of makeup and it removes it all before i cleanse with my Clarisonic.

RE: Makeup remover

You should try Miel en mousse from Lancรดme it contains acacia honey. It also doubles as a cleanser but you would still need eye make up remover

Re: Makeup remover

Hey! One of the best (and affordable) cream makeup removers I've found is Pond's Cold Cream Cleanser. You slather it on while your face is dry and then take a wet washcloth and wipe it off and your makeup will come with it! Works really well with mascara too, but be gentle on your eyes when you wipe it off
