Thank you so much Dr Sturm! You are truly awesome! Ive bought the discovery kit twice now and my skin texture has never been better. My undereyes were doing well when I was using the eye cream but I tried another brand after it ran out. Now I know better! I’ll definitely stop by in NY next time I’m there!

Acne can be caused by a variety of irritants, but it also triggers irritation in something called the inflammation cascade. More melanin-active skin has an even greater sensitivity to this inflammation cascade. This, in turn, can lead to something called post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which is what you are experiencing - discoloration. You are right to be using sunscreen, as unprotected sun exposure, another inflammatory trigger, would make this condition even worse.
