Is La mer really all that?

And if it is, which products do I need in my life. I decided to bite the bullet 😓

RE: Is La mer really all that?

If you are asking if it really is all petroleum with a minute amount of untested aqueous solution and silicones, La Mer is all that. I worked for them and at first I was smitten with a miracle complexion until a decade later I suddenly received the beginning of a terrible cystic acne cycle that I'd never had the likes of my entire life. I never actually ever had but a blemish or so and was extremely healthy but I became sick & I've spent over a decade and thousands more $$ healing myself and skin with proper ingredients and education. Hype means nothing. Petroleum is kerosene. Mineral oil, same thing. Most silicones. 60% of what we apply to our skin topically is immediately absorbed. That means it affects our organs, how our body functions. Do you want that in your body when actual certifiably proven formulations work wonders and can prove safe origins while giving you exactly what you want and need? It's up to you, I'm not disrespecting any who choose it. I'm just giving anyone reading something to think about. I actually threw away a few thousands worth of products because I couldn't live with selling or giving toxic products that harm people to any. It's not worth it. Best to you in your search!

RE: Is La mer really all that?

I would have to say yes. I'm 32 and started a little after I turned 30 and love them. I think the products that I have tried so far are worth it. The soft cream is great, as well as the micellar water, and regenerating serum. I want to try the oil. The key to buying La Mer at a decent price is to buy the gift sets. I love Sephora but Nordstrom online (I think) is the best place to purchase their products. They have many different sets just check frequently because they sell quickly.

The moisturizer is life changing and will last...test first. It’s not for everyone, but was a game changer once I hit my 30s

RE: Is La mer really all that?

I wasn’t that impressed by it.

It really is! The soft cream is everything to me. Looks amazing alone or under makeup. Gives a perfect luminous finish and my skin stays hydrated forever. A little goes a long way
