I am looking for products to cure darkspots on my face/ Hyperpigmentation & melasma

I had pretty clean skin with a occasional acne. I tried obagi clinziderm kit and it caused a reaction and my skin broke out with cystic acne all over my face. it took 2-3 yrs for my skin to calm down leaving tons of dark spots that could be concealed with products. I ended up getting fraxel skin treatment to get rid of my marks which caused further inflammation. I have been getting glycolic peels but has not helped much so far. 

can anyone suggest anything better.

Is vitamin E helping to get rid of dark spots too or only vitamin C ?

The best thing for melasma is SPF. It fades with sun protection, but usually doesn't go away completely.

I'm not sure if I'm posting this twice or not, but here goes. What I was told, that hydroquinone stops with pigmentation coming up. So what your describing is scaring which is pigmentation that has happen, from Acne. with that type hydroquinone doesn't work you need a high does of vitamin C. I have heard that fraxel brings out acne scarring on people. Also glycolic peels are not the way to go in dealing with those. You are ruining your skin barier. You can use an AHA but one that is an lactic acid I believe. Besure you have plenty of hydration when using these products because you don't want your skin to become dehydrated it won't heal properly

Paulas Choice has a great hydroquinone creame that is a combined bha. You can't get it at Sephora but online. hydroquinone will help the dark spots, for the red spots that the acne cause vitamin C in a high dose will help.

i am very persistent with spf inside and outside the house. la roche posay spf 60 and or elta spf 45.
