How do you use your Tatcha One-Step Camellia Cleansing Oil?

Hi all,

for those of you who have used/is currently using Tatcha One-Step Camellia Cleansing Oil, do you mind sharing:

1. What's your skin type?

2. How do you like the product?

3. How do you use it? e.g. do you use it alone or do you follow up with another cleanser?

I'm very interested in this product after seeing the rave reviews! I have a normal-dry skin and get hormonal acne. My skin is a little sensitive (I can't use AHA/BHA products often, 1x a week is enough for me). Do you think this will be something I would love? Thanks for sharing!

This is actually my staple and I also have dry sensitive skin with hormonal acne! This is a cleansing oil, to cleanse either makeup, sunscreen, or simply smog from pollution (water cleanser doesn’t clean it). I use it first before anything else. For eye makeup, I apply 1/2 pump on my finger and spread it on my eye lids, circulate the oil gently, and either wash it off or wipe with cotton. Tip on your sensitivity for BHA/AHA, use a pH balancing toner to make your skin’s pH back to 5.5(standard). You’ll feel less impact from the burn.

I adore this cleanser. Being oily, I was not a fan of anything oily, you couldn't even get me to touch it because I don't even like oils on my hands, much less on my oily face. The reason why I love this product is because it's hydrating, great for acne prone skin, easy to use, and it doesn't feel like an oil. It contains no mineral oil therefore turns into a milk consistency when water is added and rinses right off with no residue. I usually use it as my first cleanse to break up waterproof makeup / sunscreen, then go in with a second cleanse to actually penetrate my skin.

I used a trial size with my oily, acne prone skin and wasn't a fan. I love oil cleansers as the first step in double cleansing, but this one just wasn't for me. I never felt like it rinsed away as cleanly as others and I wasn't a fan of the consistency.

@Anonymous This is one of my favorite cleansers! I use it as a stand alone or sometimes with an exfoliator after. I rotate it with cream/liquid non-foaming cleansers and tend to use it on heavier make-up days or days where I'm feeling extra dry. Just rinse with water. Washes away all the makeup, doesn't leave any residue or strip your skin of natural oils. I have dry skin with environmental exposure and aging concerns. There is a smaller version of the product available online if you aren't ready to commit to the full size!
