The clarins lotus face oil works surprisingly well. I always got those big under the skin pimples on my chin whenever I got my period and ever since I started using that oil it’s almost stopped all together and on the rare occasion it still came it was way smaller and went away faster. Nothing else in my skin care or diet really changed so I definitely think it’s that

@meghanfeehery these plus I've just started retinol. retinol is not a good time...but this combo in the pic worked super well. fighting more acne now than when I was a kid. 😞

and mineral sunscreen!! I use banana boat naturals kids spf50.

It took me 27yrs to figure this out but to be honest - no product on there is going to work 100%. Your best bet is Vitamin B Complex, folic acid, and Vitamin B12 all available at your local drug store. Any topical cream that contains salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide that is 5% or higher is best and pure Manuka oil (stinks) but works well overnight on cystic zits. You should also change your pillow case every night - or do what I do which is sleep on one side, and for the next night flip it so your not sleeping on the side all your hair and oils have set into.

If your really wanting the fancy products from Sephora - the Concentrate from LaMer works great to get cystic zits gone almost over night...but $300 vs. $10 at your local drug store with similar results...is it worth it?? Also Mario Badescu Drying Cream is great to erode those pesky 'I can feel a zit, but can't see it yet' and literally within hours it will become a white head and then you can clear out of your face (Sephora doesn't sell this brand but it's great).
