Anyone had any success with using a product from Sephora to treat eczema? What is known to work? I have a recurring dry patch on my neck.
Thanks so much @jennalynnb @jamieb @txcatx @Anonymous @dreamsingreen @KristinaB21 @veronika23 @nekonat and @Ting1314 ! I really appreciate the suggestions! I decided to try the Dr. Jart because I found this cute trial size set I couldn’t resist. We’ll see how this goes!! Eczema be gone!👊🏾
Set includes Ceramidin & Cicapair
Keep us posted on how the cream works out for you, @bellinasf! Buh-bye, eczema!
I used to have a recurring eczema patch on my neck as well, but the only thing that cleared it up for good was a prescription ointment. It'll make the patch disappear within a couple of days, while anything from the drugstore or Sephora will take much longer. The prescription I got is a super common one--no dermatologist needed. I was able to get it from a clinic inside a grocery store.
With that said, the occasional product (ugh, Charlotte Tilbury eye pencils in my case...) causes eczema flare up on my eyelids. I didn't want to use my prescription ointment on my eyelid because cataracts are a side effect, and based on a tip on these boards, I used Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask on my eyelid, and the eczema cleared up in a couple weeks or so.
@txcatx Yeah I had a prescription that did work well but I recently tosssed it because it was expired and I just don’t feel like making the time to see my doc for a new one also always looking for an excuse to buy more stuff from Sephora 😜
Hi @bellinasf,
I would recommend either Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream and First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. Sephora carries both products. The First Aid Beauty cream comes in the original and scented variations - go for the original, unscented one - there's also a mini / travel size version available too. Right now, with the holidays, there are value sets available from both brands with these products included. Here are 2 sets from these brands; there are others at Sephora if the mix of products in these sets is not something that appeals to you. The one from Dr. Jart contains the Ceramindin cream as well as a cream from the other Dr. Jart line that @KristinaB21 mentioned. The First Aid Beauty Set contains a cleanser, an exfoliator and the cream. I've used all three products before and enjoyed them. The exfoliating pads are staples in my skincare routine; the cleanser I reach for when my skin is angry for whatever reason - weather, allergic reaction, etc.

Yaay! That is such a cute set. I picked one up at the Rouge sale as well - I'm a sucker for packaging. Hope the Ceramidin cream works out for you, @bellinasf. Keep us posted!
Will do!
Cerave Hydrating Cleanser, then Avene Thermal Spring Water Mist, then Avene Tolerance Extreme Creme. Nothing else. This combo helped my skin thru the WORST eczema flare-up/topical steroid reaction I’ve ever seen. My face went from looking like raw hamburger meat to smooth and normal in about two weeks.
@dreamsingreen I have some Avene water so I’m gonna try that combined with the Dr. Jart Ceramidin and see how that concoction works out. Thank you ☺️
Hi @bellinasf
I love Consonant HydrExtreme. It really helps with dry patches. It's available on Sephora.ca but I don't think it is on .com. Unsure though. If you are in the US you can check Costco. It's an expensive product but I find it lasts long and worth it. Good to buy during the sale even better if you are in the US and can get it at Costco.

@Ting1314 Thanks for the suggestions. I’ve never tried Cerave so I may check that out. Tried first aid beauty in the past and it didn’t really help but you’ve just reminded me that I do have a sample here of the ultra repair cream so I’ll give it another shot!
