Farmacy Honeymoon Glow - breakouts?

I kept reading rave reviews on FARMACY - HONEYMOON GLOW AHA Resurfacing Night Serum with Hydrating Honey + Gentle Flower Acids and am getting breakouts in spots I never, ever breakout on every time I use it. I looked it up on CosDNA (which I know isn't the end all be all), but it does not indicate acne causing ingredients. Anyone have a similar experience, or know what could be causing it? Looks like a lot of the lower star reviews state the same issue.

@sunvsmoon This product has active ingredients which can cause purging (ie the product works by encouraging skin cell turnover faster so it has a tendency in the early weeks to possibly bring any forming acne/clogged pores to a head). That said - signs it is not purging, and is instead a reaction to the product are 1. acne is places you do not normally get it and 2. this going on for more than 4-6 weeks.

Ah, darn it, it definitely meets the first criteria. Bummer, I was really excited about this one with all of the glowing reviews!
