Face wash/ Skin care routine

I have very dry, acne prone, sensitive skin. I have constantly been struggling with breakouts. I am currently using clearasil rapid action daily face wash and it has not been working! The sacylic acid in it has been bleaching my eyebrows and acne just keeps appearing on my face, not going away. I need advice on a new face wash or a skincare serum, routine, etc. It would be greatly appreciated! Face wash recommendations? I do not want to spend a ton of money.

Re: Face wash/ Skin care routine

Are you sure it is that product or that it contains salicylic acid? Benzoyl peroxide bleaches fabrics, hair, etc but salicylic acid does not. Just thought I would point it out so you can keep it in mind

Re: Face wash/ Skin care routine

I don't really have any luck with regular cleansers, but there's this brand Aknicare that really works for me! I'm on my 3rd bottle right now. It cleanses well without drying out my skin (because i've been using BHAs so my skin is very dry and flaky now) and after I'm done I usually top it off with Clinique Dramatically Different moisturizing gel and so far it's working for me. You can't find this cleanser in stores unfortunately, I get mine off amazon for CAD22, CAD27 after shipping.

Re: Face wash/ Skin care routine

Have you tried cleansing oils? I have sensitive skin also and it works for me. It removes makeup easily too. I haven't found one that I like at Sephora personally. I have only tried the Boscia one from Sephora and it leaves an oily residue for me. Shu Uemura Porefinist and Nature Republic Chamomile Cleansing Oil works for me, so it is hard to change. Skin is sensitive and I don't want to risk aggravating it by trying new products. People seem to be loving the L'Occitane Shea Cleansing Oil. Maybe you can try a sample! Also, I follow up with a hydrating cleanser such as the La Roche Posay Hydrating Gentle Soap Free Cleanser. To address the acne, I would use a mild toner that has salicylic acid. I am trying to think of products that are easily accessible, but the best product that I've used is the Cosrx Pimple Pad. It is so gentle and non-drying yet effective. Hope that you find a solution soon!

Re: Face wash/ Skin care routine

Your skin is basically my skin. I'm not sure your price range but I like to stay in the medium-range for skincare products ($30-$50). I really like Murad's AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser for acne control and also it's very good on sensitive skin. It's pretty gentle for being an exfoliating cleanser. If you don't want to use that everyday because it might be drying, I really like Fresh's Soy Face Cleanser. Amazing on sensitive skin. if you're going to be exfoliating or using acne products you need a moisturizer. The Belif True Cream moisturizing bomb is great and so is Dr.Jart Ceramidin Cream. Both are great on sensitive skin and very moisturizing. First aid beauty has very decent moisturizers that are a bit cheaper. The Skin Rescue Daily Face Cream is non-comodegenic and moisturizing.
