Eczema

I feel like posting some love for those with chronic eczema out there. I'm 22 and I've been dealing with the stuff my entire life. Over the past few years I've been taking care of my skin with more natural approaches and not using the steroid creams and I've actually healed several HUGE patches on my body. I'm super determined to heal the rest of them now - especially this one that I've had under my nose for well over a decade. It makes feathering lipsticks look extra bad sometimes haha!

Re: Eczema

I also have chronic eczema since I was 15 years old. I have huge patches on both shoulders, inside elbow creases, on the thighs and on my neck back and front.

I don't have patches on my face, but I have intense hyper pigmentation scarring on my face and neck from severe eczema flares from the past. I've been trying to find products I can use for my body and something for my face (face is sensitive and extremely on dry end) Any recommendations?

Re: Eczema

First Aud Beauty Ultra Repair Cream provided far better results for more son's than eczema than his prescription ointment did. No steroids and no grease!

RE: Eczema

Hey have you guys considered taking a bath with cold to warm water and adding a cup of bleach to it? I do this about 3-4 times a week, more or less depending on how bad my skin is, and this has honestly helped my skin so much. I know another person who does this and his eczema is almost all gone. I am not a dermatologist but this was recommended to me by a dermatologist so I do recommend that you talk to a specialist before filling up your bathtubs but those of you with eczema or similar skin conditions please please try this out. My skin has improved so much from the time I first started until now.

Re: RE: Eczema

You know, I haven't tried bleach, but I have tried salt baths with just a ton of salt. They're amazing. I imagine that its only a very small amount of bleach in the entire tub, so since its so dilute it probably is behaving like the salt bath. I think both help draw out toxins in the body?

RE: Re: RE: Eczema

It probably is similar to a sea salt bath I only use about one or two cups of bleach for a full tub so it is quite diluted and it basically kills all of the bacteria and cleans the skin. I did find it quite drying though so I have since switch to a lavender bubble bath combined with some bath salts. It is fragranced so it might not be for everybody and I do not recommend it while your eczema is raw and the wounds are still open. But when your skin is somewhat healed it is very soothing and calming and moisturizing.

RE: Eczema

Hey I'm 18 and I've also been dealing with eczema all my life! I've also chose to stop using steroid creams cause they're super bad for your skin. I recently started using the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream, Neogence Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Essence, Sunday Riley Luna Night Oil and Vaseline Intensive Care Problem Skin Therapy Lotion. These products have become my daily routine and honestly my skin has started to look so much better. My eczema covers about every inch of my body except my back but I've seen a lot of improvement in the last 2 weeks.

Re: RE: Eczema

Whole body huh? I feel you girl. I've had it everywhere, though not necessarily all at the same time. Another thing I do that really helps is wet a patch that I'm working on or focusing on. Like wash it and rinse it well and barely dry it if at all. Then I slather on a bunch of manuka honey and a couple drops of oil. I leave it on for anywhere from 20 minutes to a full day, and its another remedy I recommend. I think the honey helps give moisture to the skin, but I'm not really sure. I just know it works for me
