Dull skin

Lately, my skin started looking dull and dry. So, looking for products which can make my skin look hydrated, healthy and glowy. Also, any products for shrinking pores too, please!!

PS: I'm already using Drunk Elephant Protini polypeptide moisturizer and sadly it didn't work for me.

Drunk Elephant Protini™ Polypeptide Firming Refillable Moisturizer 1.69 oz/ 50 mL

Re: Dull skin

@Sharuuu   This has been a super quick improvement for a friend and I. We apply it at night but you can wear it during the day also.  Biossance Squalane and Vitamin C Rose Oil.  You can order a sample bottle from  Biossance direct to try it before investing in a large bottle.

Re: Dull skin

I really enjoy AMOREPACIFIC - Treatment Enzyme Peeling Masque

For smoothing and brightening my skin.  IIt's gentle on my skin.

I use THE ORDINARY -

Which I like better than the DE protini.  Wild, I know.

I also enjoy The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Serum for Oily Skin 1 oz/ 30 mL

In helping shrink my pores.  I don't think there is anything I can do to erase the pores, but these help with my dullness and pores.

As for moisturizers,  there are so many!

I like FRESH - Lotus Youth Preserve Dream Night Cream

At night, but I'm sure there are many good suggestions for moisturizers. Juice beauty makes a wonderful mask for hydration. (But my skin isn't super dry).

Re: Dull skin

I second “The Ordinary” recommendations from @l8totheparty @I have seen great results on myself. In addition to those two I also use Caudalie Radiance serum.

Re: Dull skin

Weird question @Sharuuu - are you using a chemical exfoliant? I have found that my skin looks it's best when I am incorporating gentle chemical exfoliants into my skin routine. For shrinking pores, I have found that Niacinamide & Zinc works SUPER well.

I like using a gentle, exfoliating toner before applying my products. That helps shed away the dead skin cells.

My two favorites are:

The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating and Brightening Daily Toner 8 oz/ 240 mL

OLEHENRIKSEN Glow2OH Exfoliating Dark Spot Toner with Glycolic & Lactic Acid 1/1

For shrinking pores, I use The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Serum for Oily Skin 1 oz/ 30 mL

Re: Dull skin

Wow! Thanks for the suggestion!!

RE: Dull skin

I recommend: 1. Using a clean, non-comedogenic cleanser 2. Follow up with an essence (I use Tatcha Plumping Essence and it has helped hydrated and plump my skin a lot). 3. Sunblock during the day, and at night, use Tatcha’s Dewy Skin cream, super creamy, light, and gives you a radiant look to eliminate dullness instantly. If you want something to rid dullness, you’ll have to follow a routine that consists of certain products twice a week or three times like exfoliating to rid dead skin cells to help you reveal your better skin underneath. And also, start with internal things like healthy foods that will help your skin.

Re: RE: Dull skin

Oh! Thank you so much !! ❤️

Re: Dull skin

@Sharuuu  Anything with Vitamin C will add radiance if you aren’t sensitive to Vit.C.

Are you currently using anything with Vitamin C in your regimen?

Re: Dull skin

Well, I used a vitamin C oil earlier, but not now. Maybe that's the reason. I'll add it to my skincare again. Thank you!

Re: Dull skin

@Sharuuu I swear by Paula's Choice Brightening Essence for brighter looking skin 🙂

Re: Dull skin

@Sharuuu Have you tried mixing Protini with Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Luxury Face Oil 1 oz/ 30 mLProtini doesn't work for me on its own, but mixing it with a bit of Marula Oil amps up the hydration and leaves my skin really glowy. Another great option is Kate Somerville ExfoliKate™ Glow Moisturizer with AHA 1.7 oz/50 ml
