Dark spots

BB90BF6D-BD49-4856-B118-4FEAB8A5220C.jpeg

I’m really struggling with dark spots on my forehead and have tried everything and nothing seems to work. I have combination skin and have tried almost everything I can think of and have searched for. Please help

Re: Dark spots

@alixha  What ingredients and/or types of products have you already tried? Have you tried products containing azelaic acid, vitamin C, alpha arbutin, retinoids (retinol, retinaldehyde, adapalene, tretinoin, etc.), hydroquinone, or kojic acid?

If you have active acne, something like Paula's Choice 10% Azelaic Acid Booster for Redness Relief 1 oz/ 30 mL is a good product to try. It contains a bit of salicylic acid to attack acne-causing bacteria, plus azelaic acid which also kills that bacteria in addition to treating post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH, like dark marks left by acne). You can also try The Ordinary Azelaic Acid 10% Suspension Brightening Cream 1 oz/ 30 mL , or see a dermatologist (or other doctor) for a 20% azelaic acid prescription.

Have you seen a dermatologist? If you can, either in person or by video conference, that's a good option. A derm can diagnose your skin issue(s) and recommend treatment tailored to your particular skin.

Re: Dark spots

I started using shani Darden retinol reform for my dark spots. It’s taken a few months but it’s lightened my acne scars.
