Daily reminders ✨

Hi everyone! Welcome to a new week! 

I just wanted to give you guys some reminders and daily tips for looking after your skin, and your well being!

 

  1. skincare routine! The most obvious one, find a skincare routine that works for you! Reply if you have any questions 🙂
  2. Wash your pillowcases once a week! This helps because your pillows will get oily and dirty from sleeping on them! Washing them regularly will help reduce breakouts.
  3. Maskne! To help prevent breakouts caused by your mask, wash your mask after every use! Spray it with Salicylic Acid spray to help with acne!
  4. Drink water 💧 this helps your skin, health, and overall wellbeing! 
  5. Wear sunscreen! It is important to wear face sunscreen every day! Even indoors 🌞
  6. Reduce your time on screen! Blue light is terrible for your skin, and actually penetrates even deeper into your skin than the sun! There are products you can use to protect your skin from this.
  7. Eat healthy! You don’t have to be on a diet, but eating healthy is always good for your body and your skin! 
  8. Wash your hair! If your hair is greasy and often touching your skin, the oil will build up, and create clogged pores!
  9. do not pick! I am guilty of picking at pimples and dry spots on my face, but do not do this! It is a bad habit! Bacteria on your fingers can get into your skin, and picking an lead to scarring! If you have a pimple, hold a warm compress on it for 10 minutes. Find a good spot treatment! I love the Proactiv Emergency Blemish Relief 
  10. De stress! Stress actually does affect your skin and contribute to breakouts. Do things that calm you down and make you happy. Take a walk! Read a book! Have a bath!

I definitely need reminders to reduce screen time and blue light, especially starting during quarantine!  I never really thought about the dangers of blue light until now.  There's a great video about it on the Sephora IGTV.

Thank you so much for your reply! I was also scandalized when I understood the dangers of blue light! Thank you for the sunscreen recommendations that also protect against blue light. I’ve been looking for a new sunscreen, and that’s so fantastic that it also protects against blue light! I’m going to keep doing these daily reminders and skin care tips because I think it’s so important to notice how your habits affect your skin! Have a great day ❤️

For some electronics, (I use Mac and iPhone) you can change the screen setting to Night Shift.  This turns off the blue light coming from them.  The screen will become a yellowish color.
