Cleansing balm vs cleansing water

Hi!

I’m looking for some advice. I have pretty dry skin. I’ve just learned about SEPHORA COLLECTION Melting Cleansing Balm Cleanse + Balance 4.22 oz/ 125 mL . I’ve been using SEPHORA COLLECTION Triple Action Cleansing Water - Cleanse + Purify   as part of my skin care routine for about a year. I’m wondering if the cleansing balm would be better or if I should use both? If I use both, what order should I use them in

Thanks

Re: Cleansing balm vs cleansing water

I have dry and sensitive skin, @py79. I quite like the SEPHORA COLLECTION Melting Cleansing Balm with Algae Extract 4.22 oz / 125 mL  (this is my second favorite one after the Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm ). I use a cleansing balm any day I wear makeup and then follow it up with an actual cleanser. I also really like the SEPHORA COLLECTION Triple Action Cleansing Water - Cleanse + Purify 13.5 oz/ 400 mL  but I like it either on days where I'm not wearing makeup or sunscreen (which is rare), or in the mornings when I'm lazy, or to help remove cleansing oil from my eyes. To me, they have very different purposes. You could use the balm first and then the cleansing water as your two step cleaning routine, but I think a proper cleanser is better for a double cleanse (like the Glow Recipe Avocado Ceramide Moisture Barrier Cleanser 5 oz / 150 mL  or The Ordinary Glycolipid Cream Cleanser 5 oz / 150 ml  or Origins Checks and Balances™ Frothy Face Wash  ). Both are good, but it depends on what you need when.

@py79 @I use Bioderma Sensibio but also rotate with Glow Recipe Papaya Sorbet Smoothing Enzyme Cleansing Balm & Makeup Remover 3.4 oz/ 100 mL  and shu uemura Botanicoil Cleansing Oil 150 ml

Re: Cleansing balm vs cleansing water

Thanks! Do you mean you alternate daily? Or every few days?

Re: Cleansing balm vs cleansing water

@py79 I mean I use a balm and oil or whatever combo I need for that day.

Re: Cleansing balm vs cleansing water

Micellar water!!!

Re: Cleansing balm vs cleansing water

And no melting balm at all?

Re: Cleansing balm vs cleansing water

Micellar water gets rid of makeup. all you need to use is a cleanser for example cerave and micellar water
