Clarisonic: Worth the hype?

Hey everyone! Iโ€™m interested in purchasing my first ever Clarisonic but Iโ€™m unsure if itโ€™s worth the price. I see generally good reviews but none of them are recent. I have normal, generally clear skin that still has acne scarring from a couple years ago. I wear full coverage make up daily and have a solid skin care routine, Iโ€™m just looking to step it up! What do you guys think? Thanks.

RE: Clarisonic: Worth the hype?

Yes! I love the way it makes my skin look.

Re: Clarisonic: Worth the hype?

it definitely works, but cost-wise, the investment into replacing brushheads can be pretty quite a burden

compared to foreo, where you don't really need to replace anything

RE: Clarisonic: Worth the hype?

@BaileyD1295 the foreo is on sale.

RE: Clarisonic: Worth the hype?

I just looking at skincare devices. I'm leaning towards the foreo because bacteria can build up on the bristles. Now sure how often you change out the brush heads.

RE: Clarisonic: Worth the hype?

Absolutely worth it! I have a Mia 2 and have dry/combo acne prone skin- I use it almost everyday. I use a face wipe to take all my makeup off first and the Clarisonic reallllly cleans my skin!

Re: Clarisonic: Worth the hype?

I had one for a little over 2 years and used it almost everyday. I stopped using it for 6 weeks and tried using it again, but the battery would not recharge. Did some research and apparently if you don't use it for a while, it will stop working. For $200 I feel like there should be a more supportive battery. If you do decide to get one, just be sure to use it regularly. As for the brush heads, the only kind I didn't like were the gentle ones. They were too gentle to be effective and the bristles would fall out.

Re: Clarisonic: Worth the hype?

I love the Clarisonic! It really helped to clear up my skin. I do recommend going with one of the more gentle/sensitive brush heads so it's not as harsh on your skin.

RE: Clarisonic: Worth the hype?

I really like what my Clarisonic Mia 3 does for the texture of my skin. I use it maybe 1-2 times a week as second cleanse with Purity/Cheeks and Balances/Soy- almost any Cleanser will do- and it leaves my skin soft, smooth and poreless. It seems to better prepare my skin for other products too: everything seems to sink in more effectively and layer more easily. One downside is having to replace the brush heads regularly. I also have the Foreo Luna: no brush heads to replace and a different action on the face. Love both ๐Ÿ˜‰

They will be 30% off at ulta for Cyber Monday.

RE: Clarisonic: Worth the hype?

Yessssss!!!! It just cleanses your skin sooooo much better than with your hands! It shrinks pores and helps your skincare work more efficiently. I own the clarisonic and a Foreo and I use my Clarisonic daily. I gave the Foreo to my 12 year old son to use. He loves it but his skin is perfect. Lol

1000% worth every penny. It makes all of your other products work way better. Since I have started using mine my pores are invisible and I break out considerably less than before. I have the Foreo and the Mia 2 and the Clarisonic is way better.

RE: Clarisonic: Worth the hype?

I absolutely love mine. I only use it a couple times a week to avoid irritation but my skin looks and feels so much better since using it. I have the Smart Profile with the body attachment kit. I love that it had brush heads for face, body and feet. It keeps my skin looking good from top to bottom.

RE: Clarisonic: Worth the hype?

I personally wouldnโ€™t buy it because it is so rough in the skin over time. Itโ€™s essentialy rubbing and scrubbing the skin and doing that daily can irritate your skin or cause it to create a barrier against the constant scrubbing. This is not for everyone, it works so well for some, but It wouldnโ€™t be something I would want to use daily. Instead invest in a really good exfoliated to use once a week and that will help your scarring and keep your skin from being over scrubbed.

WORTH EVERY CENT. I had one for about 6 yr before it died. I bought a Lumia as a replacement and hate it. I just bought another clarisonic because it's so much better. I have very dry skin but have acne scars from teenage years. The clarisonic just smoothes and tightens everything. You feel your serums and moisturizers work better. The results are quick. And it feels great. Highly recommended.

RE: Clarisonic: Worth the hype?

If you have an affective skin care routine that works, I wouldnโ€™t buy it. It might just be thrill of the purchase. But buy it if you want it! ๐Ÿ˜
