Boscia charcoal makeup melter--is this normal???

When I took this cleansing balm out of its box, I was startled to find the product covered with these weird spore-like splotches which I did not see at all in the in-store tester or in pictures online. For those who have used this product before--should I be concerned?? Is this a contaminated product that I should exchange, or is it just coagulated oil and the product is OK to use?

Mine is the same, it looks like bacterial colonies.IMG_20180726_105249.jpg

Re: Boscia charcoal makeup melter--is this normal???

Hi Beauty,

Thank you for taking time to let us know about your recent experience with the Charcoal Makeup Melter.

We can assure you that all boscia products have been formulated with the highest quality ingredients and have passed all necessary testing to provide the best user experience.

The “mold” that you are seeing has been tested and is confirmed to be crystallization.

Because the product has no water content in it, crystallization is a natural side effect.

There is no mold in the product and it is safe for use.

Hope this helps!

 xoxo boscia
