Boscia Tsubaki Beauty Oil scandal?

I purchased this product from Winners, but when I opened it is smells exactly like what I imagine the Boscia Rose Oil smells like! I’ve used enough rose oils to know how they smell, but to top it off it also smells faintly of cumin, which is also in the Boscia Rose Oil. So, I suspect that the wrong product what put inside this bottle and packaging! I’ve also used the Boscia Tsubaki mask and I don’t rememberit smelling like roses. Has anyone experienced this before? Or am I just missing something? The more I look into it I feel certain this is the Rose oil inside that bottle. ☹️ I really wanted the Tsubaki oil

Re: Boscia Tsubaki Beauty Oil scandal?

I got a sale oil like this from Costco and it also smells like rose . It might be fake the paint on the bottle is scratching off . And the bottle looks diff from the other Boscia bottle when I look it up . Got just be fakes resellers are not unknown to get fakes

@amber0415

It’s at Winners for a reason.

@amber0415

The rose scent comes from the Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil...it's a rose-scented geranium (and it's quite strong).

I don't know which mask you tried, but a quick check of the ingredients for the Tsubaki splash mask and the Tsubaki sheet mask don't show Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil as an ingredient, so they wouldn't have the same rose-like scent.

RE: Re: Boscia Tsubaki Beauty Oil scandal?

@amber0415 I am in the US but if Winners is similar to TJ Maxx, thenyour bottle may have been compromised. I’ve never used this product so I don’t know how it’s suppose to be but if you know, then that’s a possibility. It’s unlikely that the brand or manufacturer made this mistake if you bought the product from Winners discounted. That is a huge concern of mine shopping for discounted beauty products at places like TJ Maxx or Marshalls when the products don’t come with a sealandcan be easily tampered with. Unlikely that they damage out returns. I am allfor saving the environment. I bring reusable bags everywhere that I shopbut when it comes to beauty products, I wish manufacturers would package products with a tamper proof seal.

Re: Boscia Tsubaki Beauty Oil scandal?

@amber0415  Are there any other retailers near you that carry Boscia, where  you can go to sample and compare to the one you bought?

I haven't used Tsubaki Oil in quite a while. Last time I bought it, it came in different packaging. I can say it didn't smell like rose.

The tinted glass bottle it used to come in was prettier... but this new bottle is opaque, and that may be better for the longevity of the product.
