Big Pores!! Please help

Does anyone know what's the best products to reduce pores size?

Re: Big Pores!! Please help

I use Benefit Pores invisible cream to help reduce the look of the pores.

RE: Big Pores!! Please help

I agree with reducing the size of it, no go for me, but I use the Origins charcoal exfoliating cleanser which really helped me. Home ready to clean out pores (works like magic) mix a little bit of milk with yeast to create a paste (little bit of milk) use as a mask wait for it to dry wash off and it clears it all out!

I would really second what @greeneyedgirl107 said about using a BHA; this is something that really helped me over time. The Paula's Choice 2% BHA is a longtime standby. I've also heard niacinamide is a great ingredient for this purpose. I've not tried it but Paula's choice has a niacinamide booster now that you could try. Cosmetically, a primer like Hourglass Veil will be your friend in terms of reducing the appearance of pores while you're working on your skincare. @PrettyYaya

I agree! Paula's Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant has been my holy grail! Significantly improved the look of my pores and those pesky black heads, especially when combined with Paula's Choice Clinical 1% Retinol Treatment.

I use the foreo luna mini twice per day with my cleanser and i find it really helps reduce pore size. After cleansing i also use the sk-ii facial treatment essence, which has done wonders for my skin!

Have you tried Lancôme's VISIONNAIRE ? I'm probably a good bit older than you, but I started using this in my late 20's, it's made a difference!

Re: Big Pores!! Please help

Charcoal products worked for me, every morning i use the biore deep pore charcoal cleaner, and a vitamin c serum (ole henriksen truth serum) and ren global protection day cream. i use original smashbox photo primer, then covergirl with olay makeup and maybelline shine free loose powder. i use to use pore strips periodically, but i read somewhere that can actually make it worse bc it enlarges pores when you rip them off to pull the gunk out. and definitely wash your face at the end of the day. If i dont, it looks like im going backward instead of forward. i use different cleansers either purity or fresh soy cleanser the most, but i have a variety of deluxe sample cleansers ive collected from play and other subscriptions. but ive tried a lot of stuff focused on reducing pore size, and from my experience, it does not happen overnight. after a month though, i could definitely see a result. My pores are smaller and my skin is less oily during the day. still a little oil though, but a quick pat with my fingers on the nose and cheek right next to the nose where the largest pores are is enough to blot the oil and makes the pores look more like i just put my makeup on. but even if you dont see results right away, dont give up. about 4 months after just starting with the charcoal face wash in the morning and making sure to wash my face at night, my pores are 100 percent smaller.

Re: Big Pores!! Please help

I am also struggling with this. Recently I started using Purity Made Simple Cleanser, from Philosophy (can be found at Sephora). It is magical as it removes dirt and blackheads, which makes the pores look bigger than they are.

RE: Big Pores!! Please help

3 things that are helping me right now with my pores situation are : 1) exfoliation - Amore pacific enzyme peel ( I use it every night after double cleanse. It's the set thing ever. Get a sample and try it.) 2) moisturiser - my pores look huge when my skin is dehydrated so I try to keep it moisturised at all times of the day with Day moisturisers, mists and sleeping masks. 3) primer- smashbox photo finish pore minimising primer is a bomb. Even better than pore-fessional in my opinion. It also helps with oil control.

Re: Big Pores!! Please help

@PrettyYaya Pore size can't be changed per se, but the appearance can be.  The key is to keep your pores as unclogged as possible.  BHA is super for this.  Scrubs can also help; a couple of BICers don't rec them, so I will leave that up to you to judge!

RE: Big Pores!! Please help

I don't think you can shrink your pore size but you can make it appear smaller. I usually use pore-filling primers under makeup and they work like magic. I use the cult-classic, Benefit porefessional or sometimes the Tarte 24-hr Bb primer under any foundation or tinted moisturizer. I tried the Dr.Jart pores no more primer but I don't feel it did much. There's a new k-beauty product available at Sephora that I'm interested to try which is the Touch-in-Sol No Poreblem primer that magically blurs your pores out.
