Aztec Secret Healing Clay Mask

Hey y’all! So I’ve been seeing the internet buzzing about this mask for some time now. I hadn’t thought anything of it until I saw Buzzfeed do a video on it and one of the girls featured in the video had acne. Within a week it cleared her up significantly. As someone who has tried LITERALLY everything to try and clear her skin, I’m basically on my last chance before my dermatologist forces me to go on Acutane. Has ANYONE had any success with this? Know anyone who did? Is it worth a shot? Kinda desperate here

RE: Aztec Secret Healing Clay Mask

I have tried it exactly how it is supposed to - mix with ACV and it starts bubbling/foaming up. Apply on face and/or other areas and wash after it dries. I did not see any changes in my skin - it just got really dry. But I will be honest - I have combination (mostly dry) sensitive skin. It didnt do any harm though.

Re: Aztec Secret Healing Clay Mask

It's a great mask for sure, really clarifying and I use it to manage occasional small blemishes... but it's no sub for Accutane. My skin before/after Accutane is unrecognizable and is relatively acne free, and I just wanted to pop in and say if you feel the need to go that route, it's okay, as there is only so much OTC products can do.

Re: Aztec Secret Healing Clay Mask

Hello(:

I've been using this mask in my collection for a year now.

I thoroughly enjoy this mask. I use it typically 3-5 days in a row when I feel like my skin is getting worse. I still get hormonal acne but what I get is not severe, it's manageable.

I like to steam before I put on this mask. Also, mix with plastic or glass no metal utensils.  Mix with Apple Cider Vinegar for best results!

I keep mine on for 30-40 mins, to rinse off I use a washcloth with warm water to loosen the mask off so there is no pulling.

I follow up with an oil because it is drying.

Good luck!
