Any suggestions for a good cleanser for acne prone oily skin

I have very oily skin and I wanna try a good cleanser that will minimize or combat with my skin! Any suggestions I’m currently using the Mario b Glycolic wash with the toner. I don’t use it everyday

@LacianaJ I really like the Find Your Balance Oil Control Cleanser by Ole Henriksen! the effect is definitely noticeable to me on my skin, and I feel less gross and oily throughout the day when I use it. It's not that harsh to me, and I really like the smell.

In my opinion, cleansers that say they're for acne are often too harsh and may make the problem worse. Acne-prone skin is usually sensitive, so you need to baby it in order to improve it.

I personally love the First Aid Beauty Cleanser, its super gentle and for all skin types. Or Korres Greek Yoghurt Foaming Cleanser is good too!

Don't forget to moisturize!

Okay I will try those products and see what they do! Thank you

Agreed. Harsh cleansers just strip the skin of moisture and don't help the situation. I'd stick with a gentle cleanser like the FAB or Philosophy's Purity and then layer in some hydrating steps, including some exfolation and BHA to help with the acne. Then finish off with a moisturizer.

I use the Murad Renewing Cleansing Cream. It is pearly, and has like a minty-fresh cleansing feeling. I use it with my Clarisonic.  It smells amazing, and it foams up a little bit when you use. You don't need much and the whole thing lasts me about 6 months. I have repurchased this about 3 times.  So actually I do a double cleanse. I start off with the Farmacy green clean makeup meltaway, Then i wash that off. The I go at it with the murad renewing cleansing cream with my clarisonic. It is just my absolute fave.

Then, in the morning, I use the Tata Harper Regenerating Cleanser for a light exfoliation. Haha. Hope this helps you!!!

@LacianaJ FAB Pure Skin Face Cleanser works well on a variety of skin types - including oily skin.  CeraVe also has some nice options.  Good luck!

I think I would ditch the MB Glycolic Foaming Cleanser: "Glycolic Foaming Cleanser contains sodium lauryl sulfate as its main detergent cleansing agent, which makes this too drying and irritating for all skin types." (beautypedia.com)

Yes I noticed that it was a bit drying and it made my dead skin peel. At first I didn’t know it was suppose to do that when I went to further research on the product

@LacianaJ I used to have oily skin and it was because it was dehydrated. It lacked hydration and in turn, made me produce more oil. I recommend using a hydrating cleanser. The CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser is amazing and found at the drugstore for $12. As far as timers, make sure there is no alcohol. That will dry out your skin and cause more harm than good. Look into a hydrating toner. The Fresh Rose Toner is amazing and will give you the added hydration your akin needs. At night, after a day of makeup, it’s best to double cleanse. I use Clinique Take The Day Off and CeraVe SA Renewing Cleanser. It contains Salicylic Acid and will help clear your pores and give you a deeper clean.

Okay great! I was shopping around Sephora for skin care products and I discussed with the associate my skin type. She recommended the Mario badescu for me and said it was great for oily skin. I have never used cerve products before do they have any harsh chemicals in them?
