Any good makeup removers for sensitive skin?

I wash my face with organic African Black Soap and my makeup usually just washes right off, but I don't think it washes off the makeup completely since there will still be some left over when I wipe my face off with a white towel... 🙃🙃

I also have sensitive skin (and am acne-prone), and I've loved the Clinique balm. I previously tried the Boscia oil and wouldn't repurchase it. I follow up Clinique with Shiseido Ibuki Gentle Cleanser, and this combination leaves no residue by the time I get to my toner and has worked wonderfully for me for >3 months now. I've tried so many different makeup wipes over the years but find even the "sensitive" ones to be too harsh for my skin, so I really only use them in a pinch anymore. Anyway, the Clinique calm is worth a try for sure! Just make sure to follow it with a second true (but gentle) cleanser.

I double cleanse to remove makeup. My oil cleanser is: Banila Co. Clean It Zero Pure and it works like magic. All my makeup just runs off, and I find it to be the best method to actually remove mascara. Then I use any foaming cleanser to wash my face.

I love this, my skin is extremely sensitive combination skin and it works amazingly.

I think the solid cleansers are amazing. I'm a big fan of the Clinique Take the Day Off solid cleanser. My mom loves the same brand but the wipes instead. She has such sensitive eyes that this was the first makeup remover she could use without any major consequences.

I would recommend the Tatcha camelia cleansing oil. It's a makeup remover and a cleanser oil. It is also for all skin types! Good luck! 🙂

This may sound silly but I use baby wipes! They're super sensitive on your skin and cheaper than makeup wipes. I simply wet mine a little bit more before I use it on my face.

it's okay, you don't sound silly! i used baby wipes too as well, but it didn't work at all. i still had left over makeup AND it left my face super dry. i wish it worked for me 😩😩

Agree with Clinique Take the Day Off (Balm and Oil).  I follow with a Simple Micellar Water Wipe for heavier eye makeup or full coverage foundation.

Garnier micellar cleansing water is very good for removing access makeup and has products for different skin types. personally I recommend you use the same soap that you use for it does work for you and switching to a complete different routine might cause breakouts, the cleansing water works for me but I recommend you start off only using it for access makeup and then you will be able to decipher if you want to use it alone

RE: Any good makeup removers for sensitive skin?

Hi. I would try the double cleanse method. L'occitane makes a decent cleansing oil. Neogen offers a very gentle foaming wash with green tea.

Clinique take the day of balm or the new Dermologica pre cleanse balm!!

I agree Clinique Take the Day Off is an excellent choice. Urban Decay Melt Down is also fantastic. Oh and Neutrogena Naturals fresh cleansing + makeup remover is an awesome gentle face wash that removes makeup but won't strip your skin.

African black soap is far too high in pH and harsh for skin, especially sensitive skin. The best makeup remover for your skin type would be an oil cleanser like Clinique Take The Day Off. It rinses completely clean too.
