Acne + Oily skin HELP!

So basically, I have relatively oily skin + acne and I'm also not 100% on how I should set up my skincare routine (what to use for night vs day skincare). So, I'm wondering if I could get advice on how I should step up my skincare based on these issues.

P.S I'm 15 and I don't want to use harsh products such as retionls since I'm scared it might damage my skin 😞

Re: Acne + Oily skin HELP!

Hey! I had acne when I was 17(now 18 with little scarring 😕 )and something I wish I would’ve done was simply leave it alone(I know it’s super tempting to pop those whiteheads but do not do it :,) ) also I would start with Korean skincare because it’s gentle on the skin. I use soonjung cleansers and their hydro barrier cream(you can find this for cheap at TJmaxx). Even though your skin is oily, you still need to use moisturizer as your skin is overcompensating for the lack of moisture on it hence the oil buildup. Also zinc supplements are always a good option. A big thing I wish I did was wear more sunscreen to prevent dark acne spots from occurring so make sure to wear a sunscreen you love every day(I use supergoop glow screen or EltaMD tinted sunscreen). Unfortunately there’s not a product out there that can “solve acne” however you can improve the quality of your skin by changing up your skincare routine and it will make the acne less noticeable and calm down faster. Once the acne is not active if you have a bit of scarring I would recommend the Laneige line here at Sephora such as the hydro creams, water sleeping masks, and the cream toner. I wish you the best of luck!🤞🏻
