AMOREPACIFIC vs MISSHA Essence

I’m hearing great things about both of these products! AMOREPACIFIC - Vintage Single Extract Essence MISSHA - Time Revolution Anyone tried both? Thoughts? Of course one is much more expensive, but I always think good skincare is worth it. On the other hand, I think sometime expensive isn’t always better! I’m 25, have combo skin, somewhat sensitive but not terrible. Thanks! 🙂

Re: AMOREPACIFIC vs MISSHA Essence

@kkenzy I’m a FIRM believer in AP Vintage Essence. I purchased 2 full size during the VIB sale - one for me and one to gift. I first received it in the Beauty Remedy Play! Box back in early October and I’m still not finished with the deluxe sample size! You don’t use a cotton round to apply it. You shake about 4-5 drops into your hand then press it into your skin. I’m expecting the big bottle to last me the entire year. At $145 it is pricey but if it truly works AND will last you an entire year...it’s definitely worth it. I’m 37 and have been addicted to everything skincare since my 20’s. Preventative measures is key. You don’t want to start fixing things once the damage is done. This is the time to start taking care of your skin. Dive into it! I promise you, you won’t be disappointed! 🖤

Re: AMOREPACIFIC vs MISSHA Essence

@darlyndar does this have fragrance? Asking because I got the Amorepacific 'Moisture Bound Skin Energy Hydration Delivery System' in sample size and it has very heavy fragrance. So much so that I don't use it often. I have got the Missha First Essence and use that instead.

Re: AMOREPACIFIC vs MISSHA Essence

@naturalooks15 It actually has zero fragrance. I use the Moisture Bound cream as well and even though I’m not a fan of the smell, I still use it cause it works so well. 🖤

Re: AMOREPACIFIC vs MISSHA Essence

Thanks. Good to know. Maybe I'll try that after finishing my Missha. I have moisture bound mist. maybe I Should give it another try.

Re: AMOREPACIFIC vs MISSHA Essence

Thank you! You convinced me. ☺️

I read some reviews that it was running out fast, but maybe people just aren’t using it right.

I appreciate your detailed response.

Re: AMOREPACIFIC vs MISSHA Essence

I recently tried the AmorePacific one and I LOVE it. Pores? Goodbye! But I'm struggling talking myself into the $145 price tag. I figure I will purchase it and see how quickly I go through it. I agree, good skincare is worth it. I have sensitive, acne prone combo-dry skin with mild rosacea for reference. I haven't tried Missha, but I stay away from a lot of Korean brands because they seem to irritate my skin. With the single ingredient I figured AmorePacific was where it was at for my skin and I was right!! Go in store if you can and get a sample. Side note, if you have dry undereyes AmorePacific's eye cream is the BEST I have ever used and I am addicted.

RE: AMOREPACIFIC vs MISSHA Essence

Missha has some awesome products too! Their sunscreen and blush/bronzer is amazing! Amorepacific is def more for basic skin care (moisturizer, essence serum...) but if you’re under 33-35, id recommend buying basic skin care from skinfood (other korean brand) or .. (guess it depends where you live) other korean brands.
