Happy New Year, BIC! ✨ We’re stepping into 2025 with a crucial reminder: we must take special care of ourselves — this year and EVERY year. Some of us may already have set resolutions and/or stellar routines nailed down; regardless of where you are on your self-care journey, we could all use a few extra nudges and motivation to spend some extra time on ourselves! 🤝

Much like posts from previous years, we’ve come up with a list of weekly prompts to challenge you to strut your self-care skills. 💗 This time around we’ll be focused on all things skincare, because when our skin feels good, we feel GEWD. 🌟 We encourage you to participate and respond to the prompts that inspire you – and don’t be shy to share any other self-care tips and tricks along the way!

Week 1 (1/8 – 1/14): Curating the perfect rise and glow ☀ skincare routine to kick off your day 

Week 2 (1/15 – 1/21): Relaxing in your favorite face/eye mask(s)

Week 3 (1/22 – 1/28): Trying out tools to promote wellness (rollers, high tech tools, DIY massage . . .)

Week 4 (1/29 – 2/4): Adding some extra indulgence to your body care (baths, butters, oils, scrubs etc.) 🛀

Week 5 (2/5 – 2/11): Washing your makeup brushes, towels, pillowcases, etc. — whatever touches your GORG face 😘

Week 6 (2/12 – 2/18): Stimulating your scalp with treatments/serums (yes, this is skincare too!)

Week 7 (2/19 – 2/25): Sharing your favorite jumbo or refillable skincare goodies to get the best bang for your buck 🤑

Week 8 (2/26 – 3/4): Giving your hands and feet some extra love (masks, creams, exfoliants, etc.)

If I worked from.home I think I'd do the exact same 😊 @jaaayp. You know, I haven't tried anything from CSRX, I see it pop up here quite a bit. Can I ask, what is it about the face wash that makes it such a winner for you?

Oh really @CynthieLu ? CSRX is great. To me it's feels very high end but at drugstore prices. The face wash in particular, i love the texture of it. I only use a peasize (if not less) and it foams up so well and it has this slightly thick but not heavy texture that feels like it's really cleaning out my pores! I absolutely love how clean feeling it leaves my skin without feeling stripped at all. Hope you can get it in Canada? Tag me if you ever get to try it! 🥰

Now and then I see the brand pop at Marshall's but nothing you can really rely on, just very sporadically.

I will keep my eyes out for this face wash thou, it sounds good! @jaaayp ☺️

@CynthieLu @itsfi  Does Ulta ship to Canada? Besides TJ Maxx and Marshalls, that's where I usually purchase CosRx products.

@itsfi  I tried to Google it and got some mixed information. Some articles said they do, some say they don't. Some say they started shipping to Canada in 2017. So that's confusing. I thought I remember someone on here saying they don't, but just thought I'd ask, just in case 🤷🏻

@Shosh85 I believe they used to and then stopped, I googled this recently to, it was confusing. 😕 But on Reddit there were people asking this same question and it looks like they do not, they had plans to open stores in Canada (?) but it must have not panned out.

I remain hopefull @Shosh85 One day more retailers will open up here, and the ones that we have may start to carry more things. Just the other day for the first time ever a Tatcha product I've been itching to try looks like it might hit Canadian shelves. So we never know what we be available around the corner. 😉🥳

@CynthieLu, CosRX is available through Asian beauty etailers Jolse, Chuusi (which I think may be based in Canada), YesStyle and Stylevana. These online retailers ship to Canada; I can’t speak to the shipping cost but some I have heard are reasonable. CosRX has a mini trial / sample kit that includes the cleanser @jaaayp uses (along with the essence).

Ooooh that's very good info @itsfi I have a firm use what I have rule in place. My stash needs to dwindle desperately. Buuuut as soon as that's done I get to buy things and have fun again lol. I'm excited for the future, this is something I will 100 percent want to try someday.

Perfect list @jaaayp ! I want to try the Dieux as I bought the eye pads. 

Depending on what you want out an eye cream I have really liked these from the samples I was given recently!

#Kiehl’s Since 1851 Hydrating Eye Treatment Cream ( hmm won’t tag) - creamy too and recommended by a lot of folks to me. 

Caudalie Vinoperfect Dark Circle Brightening Eye Cream with Niacinamide 0.5 oz / 15 mL is smooth and lightly creamy. 

Also the Sarah Creal Firm Offer Ultimate 4-in-1 Peptide Eye Cream and Primer for Fine Lines 0.5 oz / 15 mL is kind of similar in feel to the Goop we discussed with a little bit more oomph I’d say. Covers several bases with the primer and skincare elements being stronger. Creamy but also balmy gel like if makes sense?! 🥴 I have been using it a lot besides the Goop. 😊

Great suggestions @Sunnysmom ! I've always eyed the caudalie but never picked it up. I think im always a little skeptical of how hygienic the roller metal is... 😶 but I guess the idea is that you're applying it on clean so.. its ok? I'll definitely look into the kiehls one because I've recently fallen back into kiehls trap lately after years of hiatus!

I hear you on the applicators @jaaayp I don’t know how I feel either. That’s my guess too? If not I’m not wiping them off enough…🥴. I go back and forth on Kiehls but I do like this one especially in times when my allergies are acting up.

@jaaayp   I really like CLINIQUE All About Eyes Rich Eye Cream with Hyaluronic Acid .  Or the vitamin C one.  I forget which one I'm using as I've done both.  It absorbs well, flattens lines a bit, and depuffs a bit.

Exuviance has a much thicker, rich one that I like for night over a retinol gel - Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Ferulic + Retinol Eye Cream 0.5 oz/ 15 mL - I use the gel couldn't tag that one.

Ah! That's a good one @Ispend2much6 the clinique was really good. I think i used it a little while ago but forgot about it since I'm always looking for "better" 😂 thanks for the reminder, definitely adding it to my loves so I don't forget!

Iris&Romeo Skin Cocoon Barrier Repair Glow Serum with Peptides & Niacinamide 1 oz / 30 mL - love this combo creamy serum/moisturizer/oil - not too heavy or sticky. Just love it and you can see a glow. Perfect for wintery skin but not too heavy for other seasons.

goop GOOPGLOW Vita-C Brightening Eye Cream 0.5 oz / 15 mL - love the gel nature of this cream yet it’s moisturizing too. Layers beautifully with a nice glow before concealer and acts like a corrector on days when my dark circles aren’t too hideous. 

Supergoop! Glowscreen SPF 40 Sunscreen with Hyaluronic Acid + Niacinamide 1.7 oz Sunrise / 50 mL -my HG sunscreen and acts as an instant glowy tinted moisturizer . Love the scent and feel of it. 

( not really skincare but…Fast light swipe of DIOR Forever Glow Maximizer Longwear Liquid Highlighter 017 Nude on cheeks for added glow oomph and melts into skincare beautifully . )
