Mom Support

I absolutely love that there is a mom group! I need any advice or support. I am trying to find myself again, the beauty in me. I have to daughters, 2 and 3 and soon to be ex husband. I will be 23 in 2 weeks but I feel and look like I will be about 40. I've been through so much in trying to focus on looking good to feel good. Starting with my natural skin. I'm open to any and all comments, support, suggestions, advice, any! Thanks in Advance!

RE: Mom Support

Hi love, I was divorced young as well and had a baby, and was super haggard not only from being a mom, but from my awful relationship. My best advice is to try and start on the inside — do things that make you happy, try to drink water and eat well. I also tried (as hard as it may be) to put myself together every day... I would put makeup on, get dressed and fix my hair. It made me feel better about myself when I did this. And for the love — don’t jump into online dating... that will just make you feel dirty 😜 TRUST ME! Eventually, you’ll come back around and feel your age. It takes a little time, but you’ll get there! Good luck with everything!

Re: Mom Support

I'm sure you're much harder on yourself.  I struggle with keeping balance with the family and my own mental health issues.  I really got into different makeup and techniques in the last couple years.  When it's hard to go out to get time to yourself you can have fun at home.

Even on super busy days I'll put the kids to bed and try a makeup look for fun/practice, then do my night routine with a mask for a mini spa experience.  It gets me out of my routine and I focus on myself for a bit of pampering. Try one of the cool sleeping masks, I love Laneige's sleeping waterful mask. You're doing AMAZING and YOU'RE A GREAT MOM.

it definitely takes time and dedication! I have 4 kiddos,...

it definitely takes time and dedication! I have 4 kiddos,,18,10,3&2 and just getting an hour to focus on yourself is 100% a must! You will learn when the best time to fit it in will be, but you need it, don't get discouraged

Re: Mom Support

I agree with what others said about the importance of taking some time for yourself. My best friend just had a baby and I sent her a bunch of face masks. It's silly even if they don't do much, it feels luxurious and I swear my skin feels softer and looks better. Maybe it's just a confidence boost but some people pay to go to therapy or drive fancy cars while others just need a little extra pampering.

RE: Mom Support

I know the feeling trust me. I have a son and a daughter 1 & 5 and im turning 25 in 2 weeks and i feel way older than my age but when you take time out for yourself it makes a huge difference. As for skin care start with the basics, have both a morning and night time routine and drink tons of water

Re: Mom Support

I am sure you don't look a day over your age, I am 29 and I started skin care around your age and it has made a HUGE difference in my life. I think of it as preventative. Start a really really good skin care regimen now! It takes 5 mins in the am and 5 mins in the pm. You'll thank yourself when thirty comes knocking!!!

Re: Mom Support

i know exactly what you mean. we lose our “glam vibe” and TIME, when we become mommas. but give yourself an hour one day, sit yourself down in front of the mirror and just get dolled up. youll find that thrill and fun again and see how beautiful you are (after putting all your time, effort and attention towards your family/lil ones). i always tell moms, they cant lose track of themselves. every momma deserves to look their best so they feel their best. you got this momma ✊🏻

RE: Re: Mom Support

Well said! We do lose ourselves, but when we find ourselves again, we are better and stronger than ever. Plus, you are always beautiful...Hoping the best for you!
